@Kaikoo Regarding the AudioPaste issues in Attack
It's possible in attack to 'time-shift' the steps so with little creative programming it's possible but still very time-consuming. Thankfully the swing parameter is also per track and not per pattern.
What would you call it?
Like a 2020 version of Rebirth?
Ya, I fail to paste any sample in at this moment.
I know time-shft a bit. I will re-read the pdf manual again after fooling around. So manybe you can teach me a bit of Attack swing thing that related to Lynn drum. And at what % and BPM to adjust for trplet or something! thank you in advance!
I know what I'm doing after work..
Don't know! Maybe Waldorf can make Germany sausage too? yum with a bit of fennel seed.
How different is the speech synthesis from Nave's? I don't really need a drum spp but I'm a sucker for synthesized vocals.
Just downloaded - first major app purchase I've done for months (yippee!)
Slight twinge around MIDI - can we not select channels? Have we no MIDI learn?
BUT - sounds sweet as a nut - I'm off to explore how it pairs with Nave through Cubasis, maybe with some sausage squashing along the way
@rhcball
Oh, there is pad or lead rhythm you make runing through the grid, then you apply the vocoder text effect to it! It becomes a singing track!
I'm going in!!!!!!
First thing that comes to mind is if arpeggist can control attack...
@touchconspiracy
Definitely you can I guess. tired, don't want to try it. Soundprism pro and SPA also.
@Kaikoo I'm no Linn-Drum expert and definitely no 'Professor'
I just know I sometimes love to program 1/16th Triplets (It's 24 steps for one 1 bar instead of 16).
It's all about experimentation and learning by doing
Is it just an IAA generator, not an instrument? Doesn't show in the IAA instrument lists for Cubasis but can be added as a generator to an audio track.
EDIT - But doesn't seem to work as IAA gen either.
Audiobus working fine 'tho
Awesome
Are there a lot of built-in patterns? What type or genre of beats are there; EDM, techno, hip hop, dnb, rock???
I'm in love! This app is exactly what I needed. Peeps need to just press purchase and dive in. No need wait for Doug.. This is a pro app with POWER!
Is there option for multiple fx? I see there is no global delay..just reverb and compressor..
I want to,put delay in the vocoder..
@Kaikoo, I use General Pasteboard in AudioShare and paste samples with AudioPaste in Attack and all goes well. But I don't have the AudioCopy-app installed (so maybe that's causing your problem). Unfortunately, one can't rename a sample in Attack (only delete it), so after some pasting there will be a lot of 'General PasteBoard XXX'-files in there...
Another most lazy IAA integration.Bummer.I won't buy it if it's not working at least as IAA generator.Which ipad and iOS do you use?
Maybe Kraftwerk guys will make new single album mastered for iTunes! Bring cash to prosper iPad music industry and Waldorf? Good strategy!
Play Attack at backdoor, it's ok! I won't tell any. But IAA transport panel should be on the way!
@touchconspiracy You can already do effect chains it's 'top down approach'' (1->2->3->4), just press the arrow to build up a chain, super easy.
@ChrisG Got a reply from Waldorf's 'ZenDesk' that it's bee forwarded.
I've yet to request for alternate grid-sizes and global swing
Still I'm wondering how these seemingly 'simple' things pass thru the beta-testing phase without being fixed!?!?!
I am not sure but it is becoming the norm lately it would seem.
Thanx Samuel, gonna try it. Maybe Waldorf need beta testers like you my friend:) clearly the ones they had were just fishing for early access to the app and weren't focused lol
Your high standard, knowledge, discipline may not bring urgent clas flow to the business!
I'll pass on this one. Again issues that should have been tackled with betatesting.
No word on this yet but I am anxious to find out. Given all of the buggy releases of apps lately I am waiting a bit on this so hopefully we find out in good time. Perhaps Doug will do a video soon also and that would be useful to me I am sure.
It's Waldorf! ;op No - in all seriousness though, the FIRST thing I noticed was that the velocity was bodged (ipad air 2). Come on guys...
Other things that have annoyed me in my short 45 mins test (lunch break) was the lack of decent .wav export functions (1 shot export of a sound would have been useful for getting into Bilbao) and just how easy it is to incorrectly press the wrong note and end up tweaking/ruining the wrong sound (maybe auto selection can be turned off - not sure).
On the positive side - sounds great once you get in there an make your own sounds! Can't wait to get home and try the text vocoder thing now!
Hopefully fixes will come more quickly than certain other Waldorf products...
I follow your advice! Thank you so much to solve the paste-in sample problem for Attack!
I delete Audiocopy app, Retronym again!
Need to see if syncs before trigger happy.
When I sent the mail to Waldorf regarding the buggy AudioPaste I also shared with them my view on how import/export could be handled to allow smooth integration.
Yepp, It's my 'standard' suggestion to support iOS technologies such as 'Open In...' and 'iOS-Filepicker' as these give the user a wide range of options ('Open In...' can send a file to practically any app supporting the filetype, 'iOS-Filepicker' supports all apps that act as iOS-Fileprovider, these include GoogleDrive, DropBox, iCloud, AudioShare etc.). And IF an app is well written it will also accept incoming files when used with 'Open In...' from other apps.
I know Retronyms added 'Open In...' support to get files into AudioCopy from apps that don't have native AudioCopy support for exporting files. And there is also 'Open With' to send files to apps that do not support AudioPaste.
In addition I did some shameless advertising for AudioShare and how easy it is to implement
So it remains to be seen how well they respond
