Yep, it's also planned to include it.
Thanks :-D
christian thanks for chiming in, I would love to hear your thoughts on all of the issues samu has raised in this thread.
best regards
@Christian Well done for walking in here
You have a major player here with this app (as you know . And I think most folks will be reassured to know that you are committed to working on some of the bugs and adding/addressing the most needed/wanted features.
Congrats on the work done so far; good luck with the work still to come
Where's a "like" button on this forum when you need it? Lol.
New app from the Nave team? Instabuy for me.
I just boguht it and installed in ipad with ios 7.1.2. And cant use it crash it every time i tried in mini ipad retina, and in ipad air.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Must admit I did not spot the acp bug. There were a lot of gradual improvements as beta progressed and am sure will continue. Beta testing on ipad mini1 so sometimes it's hard to know what's a definite bug and what is just pushing processor too far. I was not sure I liked the app at first especially with other options I have for drum synths but this has enough unique features to make it worth it
Posting this here aswell in case anyone missed it in other thread
I did my first short audio copy to Attack from PPG WG, I tell you you can do pitchshift thing, filter, envelop shaping on it with modulation and velocity on your sound. These features are particular good for Borderlands short sample loop. The default root key is C4 to hear your original sample. Try the empty song demo and rename it, then pull a few empty pattern to chain then on Song page, if you find tempo quick, then slow it down for recording, you can pull 2 or 3 more irrelevant empty pattern box in front to time your recording. It has midi cc control for your filter sweep if you have controller for it to record. Even though you don't find it your way to do things, I think future midi sync feature will let you record tracks to you Auria Pro. This app will worth you every penny on it. Don't worry.
Forget to mention, you have precise knob tweaking on Attack, The display show you note number, octave number and hertz terms. This is truely professional drum synthesizer feature! If you try to tweak envelope attack phase, you understand how precise that tiny detail is needed for on iPad! Yes, zeta3+ can do drum sythesis, but you can feel the move of Waldorf Attack in more comfortable way! That makes the difference whether I want to use this app or not! So I will never want to do drum sound design anymore on zeta3+! Clear!
@Kaikoo Good info Captain. If a little intimidating for those of us who still confuse our root keys with our root vegetables.
But....I have made some progress and some noise I can't imagine making anywhere else on my iPad. Can't yet find the button that just makes the Song play once you have added some patterns, but have exported a song (5 patterns, let's not get too excited).
No idea where the vocoder is yet, but this is similar to my childhood. My mother never told us when Christmas Day was going to be, so for many years it was suddenly one morning and there it was; all gifts and surprises and drunk uncles in the kitchen....it's always good to have something left in the sack to look forward to.
@JohnnyGoodyear
You just need to type text "I am dunno" on vocoder phrase effect, see picture!
Then apply that effect button number on lower right conner of Sound page for a track! Your text will sound through with the track sound!
@JohnnyGoodyear I believe when in Song mode it's the little "chain" icon next to the Play/Record transport upper right
That's close to the Only thing I've learned about Attack .. and Damn does it have some kick!
Yep hit the chain link button then play and it will play whatever ypu have strung together in song timeline at top of song mode page.
Also been able to make a bunch of great 8 bit type sounds with Attack
Gentlemen, I thank you. I was about to PUT THIS iPAD DOWN FINALLY for the night and go help my kid learn After Effects (chip off the old electronic block), but self-interest comes first and I think I need...just....another....half hour.....
Hi @Christian thanks for your app(s) and showing up here. The loop function for more than one pattern is missing. Loop the song or sections/ selections would be awesome
Loop the song or sections/ selections would be awesome
Just good housekeeping.
Good housekeeping is awesome - to me
I wouldn't include developers like you in my rant - you're one of the good guys - there's a difference between tweaking a few bugs and making things better - and releasing something that hasn't been properly tested in the hope that customers will come up with a list of problems for you, or worse still not fix the bugs at all. I'm not even including Attack in it either, I don't have it yet anyway.
I can cope with a few bugs on release - as long as they're fixed quickly, but that doesn't always happen. Hopefully Attack is going to be one of the good ones, quickly tweaked to perfection. Then I'll buy it.
Not an instability, though I did buy within the first 10 hrs - after reading the findings on this forum, knowing Waldorf's credibility, and hearing Red Sky's demo. The sync not working off the bat isn't a deal breaker, I plan to trigger Attack primarily from my MPC 1000. That said, I'm a bit confused about how to assign note #s to pads, or even how that would work on pitched percussion/melodic sounds. Was that within the 'Pattern' page? Manual was not telling..
Bummed about the Audio copy not working, but very happy to know a fix is on the way. I thought Attack would be a good sample mangler, that's why I bought it. Thus, supporting 'open in' from Audioshare would make things much more streamlined. Nave too has the same functionality.
Very pleased with the purchase however, the sound quality is superb and programming a is a joy. Regretful that I must work in the morning!
Hi, @CrisG gave useful tip after I re-read the thread!
Turn off the Pad Velocity switch,
You can control the velocity amount of both keyboard and Blade on the left hand side! see photo!
@Christian Nice of You to take the time and to drop by.
Sometimes when expectations are very high regarding an app the reactions can sometimes be overwhelming.
I feel most of the initial annoyances and irritations have been brought into daylight by now.
I did send in a support ticket regarding AudioPaste after trying to find a work-around, the support ticket (Waldorf ZenDesk 'Anfrage 326') that also has some additional suggestions for better workflow regarding import & export using features such as implementation of standard iOS functions and shameless promotion for AudioShare and a few other ideas.
I hope the discussion around different time-signatures, grid-resolutions, pattern lengths and looping of song-sections will some day be implemented as this would increase usability of the app a lot.
I've been playing with the steps 'time' parameter (trying to create strummed chords and 'flams' and deperately trying to simulate higher grid-resolution but without too much success).
There is only one app out there that offers variable grid resolutions per sound (Molten Drum Machine), considering that Attack already does track independent swing it would be a natural extension to allow multiple grid-resolutions per track. Molten can for example divide every 1/4 bar to 1-9 steps if needed.
I also miss 'global' Swing, it's nice though to have swing per track.
Honesty I do sometimes spend too much time on the technical side of things finding work-arounds instead of making noises. Attack does sound amazing and the phrase vocoder is a very nice touch, I just love it!
Hi @Christian congrats on getting Attack released! Very deep, complex app. Not surprised there are a few teething problems with the crazy amount of sound mangling built in.
Think I'm going to have to read the manual because I have lost sounds that I have no idea how to recreate
Does saving a song also save its sounds?
@Christian , @Samu
see photo for Mod Speed symbol
I don't recognize the text symbol shown on the display for LFO when sync is on. Can you give me hint? or Is it a bug? thanks
@Kaikoo It's 'dotted note' so it's not a bug.
Found this rather funny Youtube-Video that describes dotted and triplet notes better than I ever could

@Samu
Thank you professor Samu, bluberry treat!
Another thing is How can I glide on the Attack?
Such a nice synth! It is probably can do limited play without note gliding.
Ok, I see my brain not working now! It's through Mod wheel and Pitch Bender.
I've just jumped off the fence and I'm going in..
My first thought it's great but definitely buggy, crashed twice already and I've only launched a demo track so far. Air 2 ios 8.3
edit: reboot definitely helped
I find that happens a lot when I install new apps on the Air 2 - loads of crashes and glitches at first but a few reboots tends to sort most of them out.
Congratulations on making the jump - let me know how you get on as I'm still perched on this fence
