No offence! (And I know I wasn't included in the comment as I hadn't bought it yet) but the only manuals I'm reading before I buy, are for apps I know 100% I'm going to purchase. (Fabfilter for example).
Otherwise I would spend a lifetime reading manuals, mostly unnecessarily! And gaining knowledge about apps I don't/will never own.
For the vocoder try spelling phonetically instead of real spelling sometimes gives better effect or leave gap between sylables in word
Man walks into a pub he visits frequently. He likes it there. Friendly place. Convivial. Sees a fellow he doesn't know so well sitting at the bar, walks up:
"Hey, how are you?"
"They've got the new beer in."
"Ah, finally. How is it?"
"Just buy the beer or don't."
"I see...."
Here is my demo
It wasn't mine but I'm glad you couldn't reproduce it. Good to hear the vocoder isn't completely unfathomable - I'm going to buy the app shortly and feed it some filth.
Lend us a tenner then, moneybags
Thanks in advance.. Go watch..
A lot of bug in attack, so dont bought it yet is the best advice, i did and is useless.
Thanks So much Doug in advance! I know most of us here really appreciate all you do for us. If I like it perhaps moneybags will gift me this soon. Hehehe!

I think that this conversation might support touchconsiracy's outlook (although the tone may differ!). I'd see this one ending like this
"It's a malty hop forward, would you like to try it?"
"Why, yes fine yeoman of the bar"
"Excellent, a pint is only £3.50"
Thanks for the vid Doug, already bought but my children have been distracting me from sitting alone and twiddling these knobs, so look toward to watching.
I don't know what you're using it for, and for you it may be useless, but I think a lot of folks have already spent a good amount of bug-less and frankly quite enjoyable time with it. Different strokes for courses etc.
I find the vocoder good but tantalizing. Pretty certain lots of folks will be cleverer at it than me, but I point you/anyone again to:

which made it super easy for me to at least to get at the thing Happy noodling.

Dude, the"strength of the developers reputation"has a long history of not fixing bugs on their hardware stuff (looking at you Blofeld) more or less in time,so a little bit of scepticism is healthy in this case.Speaking just for me of course. You have also no idea how much i already spent on apps the last weeks.Great that you have enough money that 15 bucks is"nothing"but for me 15 here 10 there sums up pretty quick if i don't take care. And the new"no return"policy from apple does not help either, making me (and others)even more careful.Since this app is from an"external" developer as well i will buy it nonetheless but just waiting for more user feedback and demos. The presence of the developer alone is much appreciated of course but many of us where"burned"a couple of times here where the devs admitted to improve/fix many many things but nothing happened (yes, looking at you retronyms...)
And again:Nave (along iSem and Nlog) was developed from Tempo Rubato, one of the best (and first) developers on iOS,unfortunately he is not involved here.
Here's a video that made me pull the trigger...other than matt2000's comments
Not sure if this has been posted yet
@supadom Funny, this wouldn't do it for me, too something or other, all taste and directions of course. No wrong roads. I hafta say that I really miss automation already. Just in case ( @Christian someone's making a list and counting up votes etc.
Great tip thanks!
Thanks Doug, this is the one us fence sitters have been waiting for.
I thought this was going to put to bed my reservations and be a quick sale, but it seems there are a number of issues with this one - thanks for your honesty.
I'm not sure about this at all now - the controls for the sounds are nice, and more user friendly than those in say, Elastic Drums, but the clunky workflow, and bugs would soon put a dampner on creativity.
Hmmmm

For me is useless in my ipad air and ipad mini retina both with 7.1.2, i can use it more than 2 minutes before the app crash. Sometime when i load a default song or move a knob, is just so buggy, i reinstall it, i reboot the ipads but still the same problem.
Thats why is useless.
I was expecting more of Waldorf
I hear you, and it's a great example of why testing is so important. I haven't had any of these crashes and therefore don't share your feelings. Respect them though. Take a deep breath and see if the first fix helps I guess...
That's tempting me too - I like the real time synth changes in the second half.
Not much for practicing what you preach I see.
Am I right in reading that it doesn't have MIDI start/stop yet? Does it at least respond to MIDI notes sent to it from say Cubasis?
I'm not rich, nor am I trigger happy with the appstore purchase button anymore. The app is £11 and for me that could get more food or more gas on the meter, but it's also not that much money. The aspect of reputation I'm talking about it sound quality and stability, especially in regard to their previous app Nave.
Yes Rolf is not involved here but the fact they have expedited the ACP bug fix should give a lot of peeps faith in this one getting these other here and there bugs sorted asap.
As mentioned before, I do think these beta testers should contact Waldorf about the bugs and maybe other people from this forum affected should do so too..
I'd like to suggest that maybe some members needs with apps are more complex than mine, Attack for me is a loop provider for gadget, nothing more and nothing less, so the midi stuff is not relevant to me.
I'm just trying to point out that the app is not expensive and despite apparent bugs, a very serious tool to be considered. That is all..no offense intended to anyone lol
Thanks yeah - Doug covers it nicely in his vid too.
This is a tricky one - the forum seems split between feelings of disappointment and mild joy. I guess if I buy it at least I'll have something to moan about later.
Lol, I used to be fond of a drop of real ale back in the day:)
My outlook is my own but not meant as an attack on anyone, just expressing my thoughts is all..
Hey Johnny, here's a snippet...
Wish I was moneybags, and if I was I'd gladly give you, not loan u the price of the app for sure:)
But i used to share my feelings in a forum, i think thats one of the reasons of forums, isnt?
It looks extremely difficult to program but that being said it also looks highly capable. Some tutorials would more than likely go a long way towards making this much more appealing to many of us I am fairly sure. Even though Doug seemed to have quite a time with this it could more than likely give beautiful results with a lot of time and patience. Dougs video definately has raised my interest level considerably. Resistance is no longer futile for sure but I somehow still have an urge to pull the trigger given the sound demos I have heard. Looking forward to what some others produce who have already downloaded this. The time involved looks daunting for song creation but I could well be wrong . Given no one is uploading much created with it yet I get the feeling I may be right but time may show otherwise. Anyone getting good results as far as chained patterns so far in the short time this has been out?
I would definately agree with the automation idea being extremely useful also.
One thing else that comes to mind is that in Dougs video he was programming all of the sounds and that definately would take some time however, I also noticed that this ships with " stacks and stacks" of kits already programed. Perhaps it would be much quicker to start working with those kits with a tweak here or there to speed things up. Like Nave , Attacks interface alone makes this appealing!
I am envisioning many future projects being made with the two apps together.
Horses for courses. The world would be a pretty sad place if we all viewed it in the same way. Contrary to what some may think.
I really don't think will be seeing automation here any time soon. These guys are done coding for now, other than bugs squashing and are ready to party. I could be terribly wrong though.
