Thanks! Will do..definitely a deep app and I'm liking the sounds a lot and yeah definitely behaving now after rebooting.
I think when they expand the midi features it's going to be a great app so you can use it with external sequencers and not just the internal one.
I can see why they have to ship without these features first though so they can fund further development.
Bought it. But I'm not downloading it so I can claim my money back before the 14-day period expires.
@supadom . Ha ha. (Seriously?)
oh,good idea.I'll do it as well
Nah, but I have used it for the last 15mins and already had one crash while changing oscillator's envelope. Rebooted but I'm back to the default preset. They could have at least given us some kind of auto save to continue our work after the crashes.
Another thing I can think of so far is inability to swipe left to right to add several hi hat hits rather than having to input them one by one.
Will be submitting constructive feedback to Waldorf for sure. Great app so far.
do you mean on the pattern screen?
You can draw on/erase the pattern if you hold down briefly then move your finger, works well I think
'Great app so far' my ass. I just reopened it. Turned chain off and pressed on the song name (top middle) = reproducible instant crash air 1 8.3
You're right. Cheers. Now I'm trying the keyboard function on bass sound but can't get it to record the melody just the rhythm. I think I'll need to dig deep into the manual.
I'm not getting those crashes again after rebooting luckily.
I definitely love the potential of this app, great sound design capabilities and plenty of kits to get you started. I hope the midi updates are not too far away though
I don't understand these reports of crashes, I'm using iPad mini retina 1 and no problems whatsoever . And I'm being rather rough with Attack too..
I wonder if it's an Air 1/2 thing, as I never had this with my iPad 2
Has to be an air thing..don't make sense especially if u r running it on iPad 2gen lol..device specific bugs they call it. IPAD mini retina is super stable imho
Slowly taking my time scrutinising the features. This is excellent for creating some amazing and unusual loops for Bilbao or Abu dhabi. I love it
I'm running iPad Air 2 Cellular iOS8.3 no crashes with Attack so far apart from those being AudioCopy-Related. I'm looking forward to the next update that fixes this.
Cool. Look forward to hearing some results. I need to find some time to do the same.
Eagerly awaiting Dougs upcoming video on this one. Still on that fence. I miss the days of multiple videos to help me make up my mind prior to a purchase. I am starting to have that "resistance is futile" feeling this morning for some unknown reason.
My video will be live later, I'm going to record it in about 30 minutes, so around 2 UK time. So far though I have not had any crashes, Air 2 latest iOS
It's been really poor recently, without Doug's vids I wouldn't have a clue about half the apps on sale. Red sky's vid is the best for Attack at the mo.
It is futile. We are legion, you must follow. Lol.
Multiple videos? Man, I miss the days that Jordan Rudess was around reviewing everybody's music apps. Summer of 2011, back when all I had was an iPod Touch 4, Nanostudio, ReBirth, and a ton of little music apps, most of which I don't think are even on the Appstore anymore.
Check your inbox mate..
insider trading, two little bugger, you are wired
Lmao!!!!!!!!
Wow, anyone else notice how quiet the forum is on Saturday mornings following a big app release?
This app is smoking hot I love it.......and like all good apps takes a bit of time to get into.
The vocoder is not immediately obvious how you use it but is a great feature when you start making sense of it.
Thinking of lots of feature requests all the time but having lots of fun too
Bought this app right when it hit the store. No regrets, it is awesome. Sure, there are some features I hope get added (to add to its awesomeness), but other than the copy bug it is doing just what it claimed it could (Air 2 / latest OS).Some people's complaints could have been easily avoided if they had bothered to read the manual before buying.

I would have never got divorced if I hadn't got married
@monzo No crashes here (Air1/8.3). Tried to reproduce your reproducible but couldn't reproduce it.
Thanks (very much) to Captain @Kaikoo's screenshots upthread (the best kind of manual) I sorted out the vocoder to some degree. Others will refine it better.
For some reason my first 'input' words were 'Welcome to Texas, now would you please hold my gun' which I put on to play while I jiggered about with the sounds/levels for about fifteen minutes. Came out well enough, by no means perfect yet, but this was about 2am. Thereafter long strange dreams, violent and unpleasant, the 'Tetris-effect' with audio.
Mind control to Major Tom....
The phrase vocoder is a lot fun. I tried using some French phrasing to hear what would happen. I guess you can type text in any language and the result will have an "English as a first language" accent. After layering multiple instances of phrase effects from the mixer tab over patterned samples, I got something that sounded like percussive Tibetan prayer chanting. Early days...
I'd love to hear your progress on this....especially prayer chanting good idea.
You've got to love some Tibetan prayer chanting!!! To make those beats go Om!
Funny how that if an app costs more than £1, scares the crap out of some people to buy it..
I bought it on the strength of the developers reputation and previous app, and do not regret it. No long winded videos or glowing ( or not glowing)user experiences needed to convince me of purchase.
This app is powerful, easily the most potent, versatile and best looking of its kind. Seek beats is ok but the UI is ugly, iElectribe is great but Attack does far more, electric drums is not bad but the UI is too cluttery...
Either buy the app or don't, it's not gonna break the bank if u do, the risk is very small in this game..
