But I really don't play Gadget, because I find it still too hard without multiple undo/redo and specific midi channel with clock feature! Unhappy, nothing quite satisfied!

You'll have to export every track separately (using solo mode). Be sure to turn off the effects , etc.
It's a pretty easy and straightforward process, unless you have a lot of material. The easiest way is to tap the share icon and select 'Open in' and then Cubasis, and repeat these steps for each track
Quite the opposite really. It flummoxes more often than it delivers.
I'm just extreme elated to have all these amazing composing tools now at our fingertips. You can lay down a nice virtual guitar track with GB export it to Cubasis and add more stuff, then nix it all up with awesome effects in Auria and mixdown the whole pro ject I Final Touch.

thanks, so i CAN export from GB into Cubasis. so for instance if i had a the "smart guitar or strings" on a GB track that would be ok. If i had run those tracks through an effects app, bin the effects, solo then open in Cubasis to then add effects & mix. i would rather send the tracks individually so i can beef the drums up so thats fab. After mixing then send to a mastering app & back into cubasis as a finished tune. Happy daze if so cos i won't lose the excellent Smart instruments in GB. Thanks.

Bsantoro, I have to respectfully disagree about the cubasis and gadget editors though. Gadgets editor is all about getting out of your way and letting you add and remove notes very quickly to try different things. The editor in cubasis just gets in my way.
Far too much mode switching with the buttons up top. So much easier when you can toggle a note on or off by repeatedly pressing the same grid position. Constantly takes me 4 attempts to change the length of a note without adding another one by accident. The main view is just as bad. Lost count of the number of times I have created a new midi section while trying to select one that is already there.
There is a lot to like about cubasis. It is very powerful. But go through the boards and the general consensus is that the midi editor is an arse compared to the one in gadget (or auxy)
Btw. You can use the same trick for keyboard/pads. 4x4 big pads in fullscreen mode is better then having 2x8 smaller pads
yep that would work, your individually exported tracks would end up as audio files in cubasis' media library, from there you can drag it into a cubasis project, add fx, mix etc

Marketing. I'm sure our friends at Steinberg might say a variation of "But page 73 of the manual explains this perfectly well...." (as regards tweaking capabilities in the edit window), but marketing in some areas is about understanding what your users struggle with (however stupid they may be) and then alleviating their anguish.
Right or wrong, there can be no doubt that a cursory read through these boards reveals that lots of folks struggle with the piano roll. If possible improve it, but if you know there are tricks in the system already ("Hey guys, you can go full screen on the edit window if you'd like") share the information in a simple and effective way.
This rant brought to you by the absolute pleasure in accidentally discovering some simple tools by way of the crowd-knowledge of this fine forum, rather than at the knee of the developer.
I've tried it with ielectric, isem and sunrizer. No issues.
...however it would be less fluff to do stuff in gadget, then import the mix into Cubasis and do vocals, guitars etc there. IMO
I think Cubasis' midi editor is tailored for people who don't actually do a lot of editing. You connect your midi keyboard, record a piece, then perform some minor edits if any.

Very true supa, but I don't have to explain to you the joy of being able to tweak sounds on the fly.
If I remember right gadget and cubasis sync pretty well so that is another avenue.
But as per Johnny's comments, they could make cubasis a lot more essential and desirable and inspiring by fixing the midi editor.

I've seen this before but how do you actually do it? for the media and the piano roll I get those handles to drag the window up, but for the pads, how do you make those bigger?

Just touch near where the X is on the right side of the pads screen like if you were to exit the pads screen. Just touch next to it and drag up! Wow great find!

No problem. It gave me a chance to road test the new features. I'm with you on the so much stuff point. I've been trying to thin stuff out a bit to try and focus on getting stuff done rather than just playing around...some days are more successful than others.
I'm pretty encouraged by this update though. I've started recording and mapping samples to the Launchpad Mini through a MiniSampler instrument. It's opening up all sorts of possibilities.

Cubase mixdown question guys.
After a mixdown, it places all the mixdown tracks separately. If I want to open those upon Auria, how is that done?

Maybe I'll give it a try. Syncing Gadget and Cubasis might be a good idea too. Maybe...
My main motivation is
I'm bored and it will be something 'new' (although I've owned Cubasis for a couple of years)
I get to use all those other synths I've bought. Yay.
Cubasis effects will help.
But part of me thinks:
Don't mess with a (Gadget) workflow that works
All those apps I have to start up and configure each time I start working on the trash. Urrgh.
But it's worth a go.

If you find the mixdown files in the Mediabay and select them you can select 'open in' from the share menu, bottom left of the screen. Choose Auria and it will open and then go to 'import audio' from the menu (top bar). The file will be available, sort columns by name or date to locate quickly and you can then add the file to the project. Rinse and repeat for all your mix files.
Yes indeed it is easy ! I had some drum loops from Korg m50 KARMA stored in Audioshare that saved into the media bay and uploaded to 6 keys in no time flat. I am going to be a sampling fool. You could trigger all sorts of clips!

Its the same thing that Korg keyboards have. I forgot what they call it but I think it was like Pattern key something. Well good thing it works!

Korg calls it RPPR real pattern play record or something or other. I copied a whole collection midi drum loops from one of my boss drum machines into keys by genre and onto a keyboard memory card. Then I loaded them all up in song mode so that I could just scroll through the songs or styles and trigger all of the samples from the keys! I still have that set up stored in another room and seldom give it much attention given all of the neat new ways I have found to do even more like this!
