How many seconds do you recommend me to sample per octave. I have a Korg Trinity and there are some great patches I'd live to have on my iPad.
Also, Sample with effects or dry?

The length of sample will depend greatly on the sound you are sampling. Also whether you are planning to loop it or not. You obviouly want to sample it while any main changes are taking place, then maybe allow a couple of seconds of the "steady state" that you can loop if required.

Regarding effects, that is also a "that depends" answer (sorry!). If the effects are unique and integral to the sound, then you will want to capture them, but if it is something that you can easily add in your DAW, or would be dependent on your track (delay for example where you want to sync the delay to the tempo), then in that case would want to leave it out if the actual sample.

  • The cool thing about this mini sampler is that its now possible to sample all your intstrument/music apps into cubasis and you dont need to use audiobus or IAA tracks anymore and save a lot of memory and cpu power. The disadvantage is that you probably finished sampling in 2033.

  • There should be a new iPad by then...
