Wow this one is excellent, even to Igor’s standards. Probably up there with Soundscaper for my favorite app he’s done yet. So many creative ideas and so much potential with this app. Easily worth the $10. It’s one of those AUs you can just get lost in for hours and hours.
This is utterly incredible
Doug's tutorial answered most of my questions, but can you set the incoming signal to 100% wet and still record the loop? Im just thinking for a live situation i dont want to hear the dry signal at all.
Nice avatar!
SpaceFields demo using lots of different types of sounces:
Don't forget to give the video a thumbs up
This looks, well sounds…. AMAZING
I HOPE there’s a way to control parameters with LFOs to provide an even MORE spacial, galactic, cosmic, ethereal experience.
Each playback channel has two built in lfos already, I haven’t checked the au parameter list yet though 😁
Most interesting thing with this app is:
BeatCutter = 44 pages of controls
SpaceFields = 1 page of controls
And much more usable sounds. (For my types of music anyways!)
Try the Dry/Wet control in the input section.
In fairness, BeatCutter is doing something substantially more complex.
I like it a lot but. It is really creative and fun.
BUT...
a) too heavy on cpu
b) the interface needs more contrast...
hope Igor hears:)
Anyone using this on an Air 2 in AUM with other apps? CPU coping ok?
Simon: I use it on Air3 and the cpu is 50+ ...
Mmm... OK, thanks!
Air 2 here. No more than one instance of Spacefields. More than one and CPU hikes and another thing if the synth is a heavy one like Layr forget it. On my iphone 13 it works like a charm have not tried that many instances but so far is good
If you have Esoteric Synth, use it with this because it has some really awesome results. I got lost in the music for like an hour without even turning any dials after my initial setup
Try Phosphor 3 and mess with the voices
Ooh that sounds nice, I’ll check that out today. That actually reminds me that I have an old Yamaha PSS, I bet playing with the parameters on that would have some awesome results

Spacefields+Fundamental is another great match
Can someone explain how it works. Everything I hear has the dry instrument first which is not ideal for a recording. Or is it designed to record the result and use that. Is it a bit of a no two results the same even with the same sample and settings? Is there a way to use it as an effect without hearing the dry signal?
It loops the input signal (automatically or manually, depending on settings) and does weird playback things into a convolution reverb. You can turn off the dry signal. I strongly recommend reading the manual.
Manual? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, that's what I thought. Thank you for that info.
If an effect has more than three controls, I generally assume that (a) there’s a manual, and (b) I should read it.
Its not ideal but I only look at a manual when I can't figure something out.
can anyone compare the cpu hit of SpaceFields to something like a Nembrini amp sim? i run pretty close to the limit so i'm worried about the reports of this maxing out older ipads.
Amazing, desert island app!
