I also notice that LK eats far more processing than other auv3 midi sequencer.
More than twice the the DSP than drambo, helium or atome 2, it use about 50% % of my processor in AUM for 16 tracks when Drambo with 16 tracks use about 10%.
Is there any way or settings to save some processing power?
Are you talking about UBRIDGE? What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Sorry, we do not support such feature at the time being. We are working on a new software and we are concentrating our limited efforts on it. I'm afraid complex feature requests will be kept in the queue.
I think this could be possible because we have already done it on a separated branch. Let's see if we can fit it in a revision update in the beggining of next year.
This is all about optimization. We have spent a lot of time adding features but not optimizing. Optimization is a work by itself. We can't promise you efforts in this direction in a near future.
I agree LK is certainly the most versatile and powerful Auv3 sequencer.
Hope you succeed to optimise.
Thanks for clarification
@sinosoidal Thank you for the reply! Yes UBRIDGE. I have not been able to get that to recognize the hard connection from Mac Mini through the iConnect interface to the iPad. I works fine when a device is plugged straight into USB on the Mini. I get it may be an odd, if not unique, scenario. It really isn't a big deal. It is still a great app.
Can you clarify what do you mean with “hard connection from Mac Mini through the iConnect interface to the iPad”? I’m still not sure what you mean.
@sinosoidal maybe "wired" would have been a better word choice. not WiFi.
Mini <--USB--> iConn4c <--USB--> iPad
The solo purpose of UBRIDGE is to make LK talk with Ableton and TKFX with Traktor. It will not help you creating that bridge between the iPad and the Mac Mini.
@sinosoidal I am failing at communicating today! I have Live! 11 Suite on the Mini. I initially bought the app to use the X/Y function. LK on my iPhone plugged into the mini running Live! works fine. Running LK on my iPad, plugged into my iConnect interface, plugged into my mini running Live! doesn't work. UBRIDGE won't see my iPad.
It wont work that way. UBRIDGE has a lib to perform a direct communication with iOS devices. That is why it gets detected. It will not detect the iConnect in the same way.
I kinda figured it was something like that. I really appreciate your time! Thank you for helping me check off one of those "I wonder if...?" things. Peace on Earth
This works as a clip launcher?!
Is there anything it doesn’t do?!
I vastly underestimated its potential because for some reason I’ve seen a number of “is there an auv3 that does xyz” post-2022 and nobody mentioned LK. And yet so many things that I had thought were yet to have practical AUM outlets (clip launcher, decent and affordable piano roll, etc) have been quietly sitting in LK this whole time
This thread has reached 122 pages now and LK was mentioned in other threads multiple times so I guess there's some popularity to it 😉
I’m coming to LK without a background in Ableton Live, so lots of the Matrix concepts are new to me. I’m getting a grasp of the interface, but as the help pages have fallen behind the latest updates in describing the icon bar, and most of the video tutorials use older versions of LK, can someone let me know what these two icons in the Matrix do? Thanks!
@Tovokas
The left icon is to show/hide the notes of the background clip. In the matrix you can define a background clip by long pressing the desired clip and clicking on the option "Background clip". You'll then be able to see the notes of that clip as "ghost notes" on other clips by activating that icon.
The arrows icon is to switch between the current clip and the background one. This could be handy to easily edit notes between them without the need to go to matrix to switch between the clips.
@xglax
Thanks!
Thanks.. does it have a video demonstrating this?
@RajahP
Wow.. that’s a great demonstration.. Thanks..
Dear Imaginando,

please please find and fix at least one of the bugs that makes LK freeze when used in AUM so frequently. Frustratingly, LK is clearly and by far the most unreliable music app that I have ever used, while also being indispendable for iOS music live performance! LK crashes on my when playing, editing and triggering quite simple projects inside AUM, CPU is no issue since I use a 2022 iPad Pro and the AUM CPU load is always under 40%.
At least once a production day, I get this screen:
@henningz
Are you on LK beta list? If not can you PM me so I can add you? There is a new beta that tries to fix this freeze problem
Is it possible to copy a subsection of notes in the composer and then paste them (in the same or in a different clip)?
it is possible to select and duplicate note within one clip
holding the on-screen shift, you can also add to selection
is there a way to scroll in LK with mouse?
If not is there any plan for mouse support for LK?
We had a branch for that. It was done a while ago. Since we have a beta open I will ask @xglax to give it a shot and maybe we can add it to the beta to be tested.
Cool.
I’m on the beta.
Impatient to test this.
Thanks a lot.
@Jeezs
Where were you expecting to have the mouse interaction? In the composer and the matrix clip view?
