I’m keeping the forum, thus the discussion about its new name. It’s just the app that’s being sold, and Francesco and Andrea are good guys who’ll do it justice. They won’t just slap ads anywhere – I wouldn’t have sold the app if I didn’t think that they’d take care of it.
Completely agree; whether you like it or not, it should be your decision @Michael. Forum members can come and go: you’re associated with it on a permanent level which none of us are.

It’s possible that many newer members have joined the forum without understanding the relevance of “Audiobus” - having found a topic through searching for something relevant, and decided to join and stay due to the brilliant community and knowledge within it.
As such, I’m not sure that the name needs to clearly define any functionality or brand/type of devices used to create music…

As a mostly desktop Logic Pro/GarageBand user these days that name does not work for me.
I think putting it within loopyPro is as good idea as any. So, for me, forum.loopypro.com is very fine. You can make a separate groups for LoopyPro-specific discussions and general mobile/desktop music discussions. 👍
This is why AudioBuffs works best as far as I’m concerned. Music makers, “noise” makers are all fans/appreciators/buffs of all things connected to the audio spectrum.

Haha. When the iPad first came out, I went to the Apple Store and tested it out for about 1/2 hour, then found myself trying to tap on the screen of a MacBook Pro. It was then that I knew my perception of what was a computer had completely changed and I soon after bought into the new paradigm.

AudioBuffs is my pick at this point. Very silly and fun, with a lovely nod to the past.
A very good idea to rename the forum. It's grown so far beyond just Audiobus and is now the social foundation of the global mobile music making community.
Haven't read the other posts yet, but regarding a new name: look into anything where a catchy domain name would be available under the ".audio" TLD maybe?

Having just speed read through several pages, the ones that resonated for me were the tapping glass/black glass names. I’m not awash with suggestions, but one that’s just popped into my head is maybe just use an abbreviation of the old name, eg ABforums. I have no idea if that name is in use anywhere, though, it’s just a thought. It would show some continuity, but it’s not indicative of our purpose here.
The black glass one is evocative of the whole ‘through a glass darkly’ thing, which is very cool
