"Not available in your country/region" .. maybe turned off for Slovakia (or for entire beep EU).
Very glad it sparked inspiration for you, that's why i am doing this ! More music, better world we live in !
@dendy Ah, I’ll bet that’s it, probably turned off the entire EU.
I'm starting to wonder is there a pattern there 🤣
Must be a very recent change, a few days ago I was able to see Caustic in the German AppStore now it’s gone here too.
It is still in the Australian AppStore.
Only until Australia joins the EU.
Just realising that I should export the stems of all my NanoStudio projects before the worst happens (if it does). However I thought there was also an option for midi export? I have some dreamlike memory of there being a clunky process inside the DAW rather than via export. Anyway have such esoteric knowledge?
EDIT: solved. it came to me. Under Actions after selecting each midi region you want to export. Has to be done track by track.
well, not necessary, just select entire project (double tap on empty area in sequencer) and export
Oh that sounds much easier! Silly me. Thanks @dendy
Oh wow, this is happening. Even the forum is going to be closed down. Not that there was any real activity, but still...
This must be a real gut punch for the crowd of people who were involved since way back in the vibrant NS1 community. Truly the end of an era in iOS music production.
The world has gone crazy .
I can't understand how a work of art, like nanostudio can disappear so easily....
It's not just going to vaporize instantly.
It will continue to work on any device it's installed on, until some Apple update eventually breaks it or the device dies. That could be a long time. Practically indefinitely if one discontinues updating a device that it's installed on.
Sometimes apps are deleted during an iOS update. Is it possible to block Nanostudio for these deletions?
By the way, there are less than 2 million apps on the App Store.
No.
The thing to do is to back up NS2 using iMazing now (before it disappears from the App Store) so that you can restore it to your device if it disappears for some reason.
App Store updates almost never delete any apps. It happened several years ago when they phased out 32 bit apps, but that was a one-time situation and was warned of well in advance. They do break apps with updates sometimes. If you care about NS2 then you should turn off automatic operating system updates, and wait to be sure NS2 is OK before updating. If an OS update breaks NS2, then an iMazing backup won't help.
Where you can lose apps is if you transfer to a new device or for some reason have to reset a device and restore to it. In that case, only apps that are still in your purchased items and can be downloaded will be restored. That's where an iMazing app backup can help you.

… I often have to reload AU effects after an update …
Have you found a way to save the nanostudio IAPs?
That should never happen.
Is it possible you have "Offload Unused Apps" enabled under Device Settings > General > Storage? That would cause what you're seeing.
No. There were some posts about saving individual user presets or something up-thread and on the NS2 forum (which is going away on March 17), but I didn't read them as I'm not interested in going to that much trouble.
If NS2 is important enough to you, then "freezing" a device with it fully installed is the most reliable way of fully preserving it. Install everything on it, turn off updates to the OS and in the App Store, and turn off wifi unless you absolutely need it. NS2 will live in-tact for as long as the device keeps working. If the device won't be used often, be sure to take it out at least a few times a year, run the battery down a bit, and charge it up again before storing again.
Yes, thank you, it was under Settings - Apps - App Store....
Oh interesting. I never knew it was there too. It's also where I said it is under General > Storage.
I'm glad you pointed that out.
Maybe now there are. But they have removed millions of apps.
It could only be found there.
It is interesting that these programmes were only deleted during iOS updates. Probably to free up storage space for the update.
The only safe way to save the IAPs seems to be to transfer them to the user bank and then save them ?
Is that actually possible?
Yes is possible …
That's probably a good idea
MacBooks with touchscreens are coming...
NANOSTUDIO could be ahead !
I hope the developer has seen this possibility….
This was discussed earlier in this thread and doesn’t work unfortunately:

Oh shit, you're right.
There goes the hope….
