No I would be gladly go in detail but trying to come up with a better way to show what GigFast is capable of. Core of GigFast uses NAM to import 3rd party amps and our amp models also uses a modified one. Our amps are many captures with knob and switch combinations merged into single model and they are quite responsive for tweaking. We offer 10 built in multi-channel amps (6 of them added with free updates)
GigFast offers very fast and accurate tuner, Overdrive, Gate, Wah, Chorus, Delay and Reverb as well as IR loader with filters. We have gapless preset changes, full MIDI control, fx trails and full iOS compatibility.
NAM XT is a dual NAM loader that can stack two models or parallel process two models and can send to dual or single IR loaders. It is a reasonably priced but flexible NAM loader for IOS and Mac
The merged captures sounds like a pretty decent upgrade to the standard AMP alone. I know I can try the trial but is there a list of amps anywhere? I'm notorious for starting trials and getting caught up in life while the 7 days (or whatever) slip by.

@ArteraDSP : I think a lot of people don’t realize what parametric captures are why they are so much better than static snapshot-style profiling one finds in TONEX, NAM, Overloud, etc.
(I think most people don’t realize a NAM or TONEX capture is only a capture knobs at one setting whereas parametric captures capture a range of knob settings in one capture—so that changing the knob settings captures a change in the original amp’s knob settings—which static captures don’t do).
It might be worth a clear explanation and demonstration on the ArteraDSP site.
Not sure what the ‘free desktop apps’ are ? Are you referring to Tonocracy? If so , yeah that’s a great deal but lacks the immediacy of GigFast. Again IMO.
You should just download GigFast , try the 7 days free , subscribe for a month if that’s not long enough , then decide. Can’t ask for a fairer model.
BTW I use GigFast on my Laptop mainly, but it’s great to have it on an iPhone … ready whenever I am!

Yes a great resource no question. I don't think there's an iOS version though ( sorry if I'm out of date). It also doesn't have any guitar effects built in for instant access which I appreciate. But it's free and very usable when you find the right model.
Also be aware that GF Lite takes the approach of applying multiple models to a patch. So as the virtual amp controls are adjusted different models are applied. A basic NAM player ( which GF lite can also do ) just applies effects to the output of a single model. So you might find adjusting the amp doesn't produce the sound you expect. It's a bit like micing up an amp through a mixer, then using the mixer controls to dial in a sound. Which works sometimes BTW!
It might be subtle difference, but it's there ... especially with drive controls.

I found something I think you should know about running GigFast in Loopy Pro and hopefully it can be resolved. I had the same problem with the ShimmerFX app from 4 Pockets and Paul was able to fix the error.
What it is: When saving the current GigFast settings to the Loopy Pro preset, an action occurs in the background that causes everything to be visually OK when the preset is reloaded, but not data-wise - the position of the knobs doesn't correspond with what I'm hearing.
It's easy to test this by, for example, pulling back the bass completely, and you can hear the sound suddenly change when the preset is saving into Loopy Pro. Then, when you recall the preset you just saved, you see the bass knob pulled back, but the sound doesn't match it.
Here's what Paul from 4Pockets wrote to me about this issue:
"It is supposed to save the settings as saved as part of the session in the host which is does properly in AUM for instance.
It looks like you are running in Loopy Pro, and there is a known issue with AUv3’s not being properly restoring under Loopy which I’ve reported to Michael many times. It seems for some reason Loopy is also trying to set a preset during the session save. I’ve seen this many times and not sure why he is doing it."
I've just gotten back on board, thanks to the great sale price. There have been some nice updates since the early days. But I was trying to figure out how to control the Delay and Reverb, which are very prominent in some of the presets. Turns out that they are the POST FX; just use the slider to switch from PRE to POST.

I bought a Gigfast Lite on sale yesterday and asked myself the same question. In the end, I figured that for $3 and 14MB of data, it's worth it, even though I have no use for it right now (and I don't want to fall down the same rabbit hole as with ToneX or IR hunt). And last but not least, I took this purchase as a small "thank you" to ArteraDSP for their great work.

tbh @filo01, I've ever only found a very few NAM profiles that are to my liking. The parametric models in GigFast Lite are good though.
Granted my earlier search was for full rig captures for use with the PocketMaster. With NamXT I could now combine those with cabinet sims, so maybe I'd have better luck that way, but honestly anything but a parametric model seems pretty inefficient to me. I don't think that's the direction I want to go.
I have a handful of amp sims I've settled on, but GigFast seems like a good one to keep alongside those. I doubt I'll be scouring the net for non parametric NAM profiles any more.
Maybe that'll leave me some more time to actually ... you know ... practice?

Are there many of these parametric NAM captures out in the wild?
Not publicly disclosed except Steven's overdrive and new preamp saturation plugin by Submission Audio. Some of them probably using hybrid approaches, but I don't want to get into details about their workflow unless they choose to do so.

Cheers Emrah, I only recently got nam xt, but I’ll give this one a whirl and see if my crabby old ears can tell the difference 😅
I dug a little bit deeper and here is my findings.
1. I'm able to unlock/lock Presence and and Resonance knobs by recalling of saved Loopy Pro patches. Not every time, but at least once in 10 tries for sure. Here's a screen from Flo's video where he uses the VAC-036 model and both mentioned knobs are disabled. My GigFast app in Loopy Pro screen is in the middle. Both knobs are enabled.

I can imagine once the NAM XT mono compatibility update is out it might use less CPU than Gigfast
Thanks for reporting, saving the presets to GigFast's own library and recalling them is our recommended solution currently. We will check and see if we can fix this.
No, GigFast is already already handling the inputs in that way.
