You can only record the midi out from a plugin added as a MIDI FX plugin. Koala doesn't really work in Zenbeats as a MIDI AU plugin, and in any case, you wouldn't get any sound out if loaded that way even if it did work.
fwiw, Koala seems to work well for me on iPad in Zenbeats when "Use plugin Windows" is enabled in Zenbeats settings.
Hi Wim,
Thanks you to answered my questions .
Here s 2 screenshots of my size windo issue with Koala inside ZB. My settings use plugin window is on btw inside settings.
The first is when I load Koala first time on a track
The second is when I close the koala window and open it again .
My size resolution is on 100% so I,don’t get it why the first time is opening large and the rest of thème I end up with a small window.
Cheers
Regarding the midi note recording via the auv3 instruments interface, I find that weird cuz inside Cubasis u can play any interface ( pads or keyboard) of the auv3 instruments loaded and Cubasis record the midi note as is. Don’t need to use the Cubasis keyboard , at least I have the choice.
Last question:
Is it possible to record on a audio track the auv3 instrument I play. Seems like even with the proper routing nothing is record when I launch the record session .
My routing :
What am I doing wrong ?
Cheers
I agree, it’s not ideal. That’s the way Zenbeats works though.
I always get the smaller view in windowed mode, which I don’t mind. Sorry, I don’t have any answers for you. Perhaps @MatthewAtZenbeats will see your questions.
If you’re referring to what I think you are, those aren’t track routings, they’re audio interface input and output routings. I don’t think there are inter-track audio routings in Zenbeats.
Sorry if I’m misunderstanding.
That’s already cool from u to take time
Can u help me on the last one below maybe regarding recording the audio of a midi track , and tell me if I m doing something wrong with the routing ?
This is very helpful. Thank you!
Finally got correct pic of synthmaster 1 to show up
Roland Zenbeats 3.1.10 is live, containing some iOS 18.3 compatibility updates FYI.

@MatthewAtZenbeats any thing new and exciting coming, seems the app been stagnant for some time. I know there was some IOS Fixes lately.
Roland Zenbeats has quietly been updated to 3.1.11 with some bug fixes.

There is definitely stuff going on behind the scenes, but no-one but the developer knows what.

didn't watched history of updates and fixes for a while, is this transient bug in sampler/audio track already fixed ??
Not yet.
I do think however we’ve been pretty clear we wish this to be high up on the list🙏.
@MatthewAtZenbeats knows about it for sure.

Thanks for info .. holding fingers crossed cause ZenBeats is for me still second most interesting DAW on iOS so hope this will be solved one day and i can do deep dive into it
Any chance on adding ability to drag plugin windows out of the program onto another monitor? I only use Zenbeats on Windows and I would use it a LOT more if I could do that.
That's not technically possible on iOS/iPadOS.
[edit] Oh. I guess you were asking about on the Windows version?
I recently purchased the Zenbeats 3 Max package. And obviously I was in a hurry, without reading this thread first. Fixing this bug or way of working (if this was the original intention) - INCORRECT playback of an audio file, in a program, one of the MAIN FUNCTIONS of which is RELIABLE playback of an audio file, should be at the top of the list. However, this has been known for almost three years and there is no movement in this direction. This is a strange attitude to your own product.

Great!
~~Hey friends, I've looked everywhere to find this info out and I figured this might be the best place in the end to ask...
Can I record to multiple loop cells at once? For instance I have my Drumbrute Impact hits going to 4 tracks. Can I record all 4 at once in Loopbuilder mode? Can't seem to select them all and hit record. I know I can switch modes but wondering if I can do it on this side. I'm on Windows PC by the way.
Cheers.~~
Ahh never mind all. I think I figured it out. Hit play on multiple cells. Wait for them to start recording then hit go on the machine. In the end this made things super confusing! lol I'll stick with the regular track mode for drums.
Been having a lot of fun with Zenbeats lately, it really ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to groovebox and DAW features, best of both worlds in my book. However I can't find a way to mute the midi sequences instead of audio, especially useful for muting drums without cutting long decays or effect/reverb tails like you can on the MC-101/707. Is this not possible? Would be great if the pads had this function in addition to triggering the drums. Sorry if I missed how to do this somehow...
This is not something I have come across as a function in Zenbeats, at least not in the way you describe it. I wouldn’t now how to do it by separating sound and MIDI. I would probably make the MIDI-sequence shorter and just have the sound decay afterwards as a fix.

We do have a mute pattern function in timeline view but I think I need to understand more about exactly what you're trying to do. Are you still wanting the audio from the pattern to get sent to send effects and just not play on the track itself?
OK I see that you can indeed mute the pattern (sequence) in timeline view, thanks for pointing that out! But in the case of the drum track (ZR1) this mutes the whole pattern so you can't individualy mute the kick, or the hi-hats etc... or am I missing something? It's also quite clunky because you first need to select the pattern, then tap the M appearing below? I'm used to Elektrons, Maschine and the Roland MC-101 (also clip based), where muting a track mutes the pattern/sequence, not the audio, so long decays/reverb tails aren't cut abruptly. To me this just makes more sense musically speaking. It would be really great to have this approach implemented in Zenbeats, especially in session view which is more performance orientated, like maybe have an option in the settings for what the mute function does / mute pattern or mute audio? And speaking of the drum track specifically, maybe enable a mute pattern function for each track (kick, snare, hats etc...) using the drum pads (currently only used for triggering)? Does this clarify what i'm looking for?
