With all honesty, do you really think Trump is a Russian puppet and that Russia is the enemy?

I have no doubt - none - that Trump is a nothing but a compromised asset of Putin. Trump is a fool who allowed himself to go deep into debt, and the opportunistic Putin kept him afloat in exchange for his services (and preyed upon certain of Trump's foibles, obtaining the kompromat as an extra insurance policy). Putin, unlike Trump, is no fool. But he is an inhumane dictator whose interests are inimical to the people of both the United States and Russia.

Leftist Derangement Syndrome on full display here. You are the most gullible fool there is.

Donald Trump is a 70-year old guy from New York City, that lived in the public eye for most of his life. When exactly did Putin recruit him? When he had a hit television show? When he built his buildings and golf courses? Do you really believe the "golden showers" stuff? Do you believe anything they tell you on CNN?

CNN who was caught rigging presidential debates!

  • @InjectorGadget

the way you talk about islam, makes me wonder exactly what you think black people should have done to white american christians?

  • by the way, trolls on 4chan wrote that golden shower stuff and passed it along to gullible opposition researchers. Obama read 4chan piss fiction. Don't underestimate 4chan. They have assisted in identifying air strike targets on Isis.

  • @RulesOfBlazon, no offense meant, but without hard proof, the story of Trump being a russian puppet falls in the same category of conspirationist loon tales such as "the earth is flat" or "vaccines cause autism". I think is a pragmatic businessman who sees Russia as a potential asset, not the other way around.

Why bring color into this? What does this have to do with anything? For the record, i am no fan of the christian faith either. It's just the lesser of the evils at this point.

it's not the color it's the distinction, you're intelligent enough to know that we are talking about evil done by some to others.
evil is just evil, there is no lesser evil, just like there is no such thing as reverse racism or reverse bigotry.... either you are against it and feel a certain way or you are making distinctions that don't exist. in other words A holocaust is a holocaust is a holocaust, no matter where it is, when it is, or by whom it is. That's where the beginning of credibility would begin and end in any conversation that wasn't about detraction. It's the nature of equality.
I'm just trying to figure out if what you advocate is for all or for some, that way I know whether to continue listening or not.

The joint report of the FBI, CIA, and NSA confirming Russia's interference in our election is not only hard proof of that fact, it allows reasonable inferences to be drawn therefrom.

I mean, how long is Obama president for now? Guys there's totally still time for him to steal all the guns, establish "death panels", abolish heterosexual marriage, round everyone up into FEMA camps, raise the black flag of ISIS above the White House and ceremoniously torch the American flag atop a pile of murdered babies while chanting "God is great but not as great as Kenya" in Arabic with his Muslim Brotherhood cohorts.

Yeah. So plenty of people believe plenty of dumb things. The ideology is irrelevant. The problem isn't whether people are left or right. It's whether they're politically literate and equipped (or willing) to recognise nonsense when they see it.

I personally was very interested when I began to hear donald trump and peers talk about not forgetting about working class americans who are having a hard time....until he and his party drew a distinction between real working class americans and minorities. Then I realized no matter how great a business man or how great a job he could do for the economy, he was still one of those.... > @InjectorGadget said:

I object to all racism, if it is white vs black, black vs white etc. I think the rising tensions are a machiavellian tactic of "divide and conquer". It is most easy to divide people by their most obvious difference, their skin color. I'm especially proud of Trump embracing the African American community, and getting the highest vote from them in decades, as well as the LGBT people. The republican party was mostly dogshit before Trump came along.

if you object to all racism, then what about trumps birtherism, what about him insinuating that cubans couldn't be evangelical christians, what about the people he got caught in a sting refusing to rent to because of their skin color?
would you vote for somebody who refused to rent to you or your mother because of the color of your skin?
Personally I wouldn't vote for someone who looked like me but refused to rent to someone who had a different pigmentation. I could never vote for someone like that.

No, you were equating a country with Shariah Law, that has nothing to do with human rights what so ever, with one of the best judicial systems of the world. There are arguments pro and against the capital punishment, but to even compare these two societies shows, how little you understand of the muslim world.

Excuse me, this best judicial system in the world, as you like to call it, is killing people.
And this is the 1st world 2017 and not some 3rd world country or the middle age or something.
    Shame.
This " best judicial system" also tolerates torture.
This judicial system also works with laws from the dark ages that allows everyone to have a weapon. Leads to a lot of dead ppl.
So don't try to do so we are morally so high above all that ish.

Hey, i never said there wasn't right wing derangement. Like i said, the republican party was filled with really nutty people for a long time, before Trump came along.

Yeah of course. I just think calling it "left wing" this or even "right wing" that is just kinda...more fuel on the fire you know. Like I think it's totally right and proper to call out the extreme/regressive left on their nonsense. But I'm disappointed that 9/10 it has to come from right wing sources that neglect the worst of their own kind. And the same applies in the other direction. I've yet to see a high profile commentator or news source that's willing to call out BS wherever they find it. But I guess that's understandable; it's easier to play to your base, or to your market. It's certainly more sensationalist and in the end, profitable. But it's still annoying.

I used to actively identify as a "progressive liberal". But I'm so tired of some of the nonsense coming from my side, or even the idea that I should have to be on a side. Some Liberals have tried to own certain positions which really should just be filed under "common human decency". And some Conservatives are so loathe to agree with anything that comes out of a Liberal's mouth that they appear to be in direct opposition to said-decency.

Exactly man. It's a hyperpartisan atmosphere. Bernie Sanders got labelled a misogynist, because he dared to challenge Clinton. He went way too soft on her, and got screwed over as a thank you. He should have been the democratic candidate. It is exhausting, but i just find it so unfair, that leftist, yes, they are leftist, talking points can be stated on forums like these and have to remain unchallenged. It is all so biased, it motivated a lot of people to fight for Trump. And tonight and this weekend, we reap our rewards.

The optimist in me wants to believe that this is a chance to reset, reflect and regroup. But I dunno. The Democratic party doesn't seem to have learned its lesson. The left wing media has gone full nuts, baying for war with Russia. And if I have to sit through one more cleverly written, eloquently delivered monologue by a Hollywood millionaire...I'll throw away all my electronic devices and go feral. Live off the grid. Scamper in the woods, foraging for berries and shit. Some days it's an appealing option haha.

Thanks for the advice, i might do that. While i'm at it, why don't you check out this thing called the "Constitution" and brush up on the thing they call, "The first amendment" before you issue further red cards to people with opinions that don't align with yours.

Don't play lawyerball with me. You shouldn't be making ugly comments about a major world religion and not expect some hard pushback at a minimum. It's wrong and you shouldn't do it, and you know that.

Just because a lot of people do it doesn't make it right. The Nazis were millions too. If Scientology was a major world religion, i would oppose them as well. Here is the reality: Trump won the election. His national security advisor Michael Flynn has the same perception of Islam as i do. With the difference, that he really knows what he is talking about, since he is a retired 4-star general that spent a lot of time in these countries.

Just to put things about Islam in the right perspective
Watch this video of the debate that took place on October 6th, 2010 on "Islam is a religion of peace". It's a fair and impressive debate from people that are Pro and Anti Islam.
For the motion: Zeba Khan and Maajid Nawaz
Against the motion: Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Douglas Murray.

*Note: Nawaz is a former member of the Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir and now a member of Liberal Democrats UK and Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a leading opponent of female genital mutilation, as well as a feminist and atheist. These people know where they are talking about. They are opponents but listen to each other and argument well.

  • of course I would believe my ears. Hatred goes farther back than that in this country and even at the start everyone wasn't hateful, else slaves would have never gotten free.... Trumps age, and pragmatism have nothing to do with racism... Neither do the times we live in..... it's just a fact, there were evil white racist, and white non-racist long ago just like there are evil black racist and black non-racist right now......the truth isn't that complicated.

  • if you understand the mechanisms of religion but don't treat all religions equally, or if you don't treat all people equally or make justifications for not treating people with equality then what is there left to base credibility on?

personally I have more respect for david duke than mr. trump, because he tells the truth, about how he feels, even if he's just as ignorant.

Thx everybody should watch that video.

  • sounds like you're basing what you're saying on what date it is instead of what it is.
either christianity, or whatever-anity is as much garbage as islam or not, all you have to do is use the same judgement otherwise you are not judging equally...... either you think islam should be eradicated or you think 600 years from now that it will go nicely with our lattes and health juices.....or you think that all religions should be eradicated.

  • too many inconsistencies, you think there are grey areas just not when it comes to one religion. You believe in listening to what trump says in that video but not in videos where he's discriminatory.... and acted on his discrimination not only expressing ideas like in that video.... see what I'm saying. It's like saying refusing to rent to black people doesn't mean he's racist because don king and mike tyson are his friend.... it doesn't add up.

anyways my friend, I understand where you're coming from now and I think this conversation and thread isn't for me.
good luck to all of you.

    Im not scared of terror,
Im scared of the war against terror that is leading us into a less free and open society.
Exactly where terrorist want us to go.
No way, I am doing that.

  • For anyone dumb enough to be following this thread, there's a simple way to see if someone expressing an opinion about Islam knows what they're talking about.

If they talk about Islam as if it's a single thing, they're don't. If they assume that all Muslims believe the same thing, they don't know what they're talking about.

Muslims don't agree on all topics any more than Christians do. Many Sunni Muslims believe that Shi'ites are apostates. Just as many Southern Baptists believe that Catholics aren't Christians (I've been told this to my face repeatedly, so noone be pretending that ain't a thing). Some muslims are very liberal in their beliefs, just like episcopalians. Others are very extreme in their beliefs, just like the dearly departed Reverand Ian Paisley. Some Muslims want a theocracy, just like some American Christians. Others believe passionately in social justice just like many American christians.
