I'll get my hands on it on Sunday
good question, I particularly like this one, by somebody else.. again with external proc but not the same kind.
this one has no external processing though
that ambient jam is a beauty. I stopped watching for a minute and thought it was a guitar.
The mininova can be used to edit sounds directly on the circuit.......I'm not 100 % sure that all parameters are a direct match, I need to go through the midi implementation charts.
But by default, most knobby parameters map directly to the same parameter on the circuit? That seems like a big deal. Surprised this isn't more known.
Yes the filter knob, and the parameters on the little matrix thingy match up exactly...also parameters within the edit menu are matching up too, OSC Waveform etc....I need to do a full comparison of the CC numbers to see what if any differences there are.....but suffice to say if I plug the Mininova into the midi in port on the circuit and set global midi channel to 1 I can edit synth 1....global midi channel to 2 and I can edit synth 2.
Good recommendation. I once started making an iPad editor for it, but never finished it. The digital synth engine is a zillion times deeper than you'd expect just by looking at the front panel. I'd go as far as saying the supernatural engine is almost on par with the depth of an Access Virus TI, with all its different oscillator modes, wavetables, filter modes, modulation parameters, etc. Having that with 128 note polyphony is just astounding.
Talking of iPad editors....Soundmondo from Yamaha for the reface series looks very interesting indeed. Is this how it should be done ?

Mininova... terrific choice. I have owned a lot of the synths mentioned here and have settled on the mininova myself. Absolute bargain of £135 on eBay, still over the moon with that one.
I am enjoying it
