This is going to make for one hell of a powerful drum machine once coupled with audiobus capabilities. I love going in to make my own kits from all of the samples and chaining 2 or 3 versions of London together.
Apart from a mpc style sampler I'd like to see more fully fledged arpeggiators in gadgets. I'm also not entirely happy with Tokyo. It's nice but I can't understand why they call it a percussive synth and then gear first 2 tracks towards kick and snare which is already covered by London.
One can always take advantage of more arps . I would not mind some kind of arp that could be used across the gadgets in fact.
I love the fact that you can set the swing and scale globally.
Very useful.

I'm going to end up buying this app, aren't I?...
I would say if you own an ipad and like making music on it....and have £20 spare its a no brainer.
I'm looking forward to using it with Audiomastering via Audiobus
I would also like a 'previous' button for the randomly generated project name.....I often go fast flicking through and then press 'refresh' losing a cool name...
.
The whole naming of projects is really quite interesting, how in hell do they do that anyway?
.
cool video

Just have some large word lists and choose them at random.

right? I never have to press more than 4 times for it to come up with a great cool/weird/original name. And it kinda inspires what the flavour of the song going to be, I mean where you're going to take it.
That is a neat idea, let the name inspire and lead.

After your comment I started wishing they let you do it as per device
. I love those swung on straight beat juxtapositions.

I hope yet doubt korg will bring any effect or trigger devices such as Arps. It may require much more developing power but I guess similar thing could be achieved if they introduced a midi in on separate midi channels for use with external virtual midi arpeggiators.
The naming engine reminds me a lot of captcha used for distinguishing a man from a machine.
I read somewhere (maybe on this thread even - its getting so long!) that somebody had StepPolyArp working with Gadget...
@Halftone yes, Arpeggionome and others too but it's fiddly to get going without proper Virtual MIDI support. Depends which app you load first but it does work on MIDI channel 1 only.
I am really looking forward to Z3TA from Cakewalk (Roland) and I own lots of quality music apps but I am so hooked on Gadget that I've decided this really is my no.1 app. Unbelievable, considering it is on first release and is missing a bunch of stuff but it is just a pleasure to use and sounds incredibly good :-)
So far I've gotten these controllers/sequencers to work with Gadget (only tried note data):
Ones that I haven't been able to get working:
I think that's all the ones I've tried so far. By the way, Nord Beat 2 is free and works quite well with Gadget if you know the CCs (and gives you a lot bigger pads to peck away on). London's pads listens to CCs between 40 and 50.
Arpeggionome Pro works with Gadget? What settings tho? Edit: NM it just worked now

I presume you can only have one gadget going used in that way due the to midi channel restriction. If that's the case it is probably better to use a fully fledged stand alone ios synth.
I love the little node beat app didn't know it sends midi data though.
@ChrisG load Apeggionome first, then load Gadget, Arpeggionome MIDI out and that's it. Works for me.
Yea Gadget only receives note data for whatever gadget that is currently active. (Nord Beat 2, not node beat, Nord Beat 2 is purely a midi controller app so that one doesn't make any noise by itself)

I just did it the other way around, and it also worked. Didn't work yesterday though, no matter what I tried. Some random iOS midi weirdness I'm guessing
ChordPolyPad works also.

I always liked the way Figure did this as well, no need to wait for a good idea for a name anymore.
Gotta say I prefer Figure's name generator, I have no idea what or if it's using a real language, but it's more abstract/random then something like Long McSalad Cheese or whatever Gadgets generator conjures up.
They're using Swedish
Not sure if it's been mentioned but I just discovered the other day that you can automate not only the effect parameters, but the actual effect type as well. Sort of like sequential. Pretty neat.
@techguy27 that would be Swedish Chef maybe?
Lol Nah I'm Swedish and it's not Swedish
im getting this app on friday man i cant wait.......wow
