@eross the status is ready for sale (v1.0.1) so you should see it eventually; however, there's nothing to get excited about, all it does is give an instructions dialogue for those who have icloud drive disabled. The current status remains that you need iCloud drive enabled in order to load/save files.

I have google drive. but how do i get my sample from there, into the app?

  • Sorry I meant to say icloud drive (I already edited the original post)

Here are the buttons to push. Sample import only works in the IAA version right now. You can live sample with AU version, but sample import will freeze ya.

If your samples are on google drive, iCloud, AudioShare, etc, it may be easier to bring them together into AudioShare so you only have to load from one location.

Hrmmm...just out of curiosity....for those of you not using iCloud Drive on iOS, what happens when you use the Files App? Does it show up?

If so, what happens when you tap the EDIT button? Do you see Audioshare, GoogleDrive, DropBox, On My iPad, Creative Cloud...etc...with ON/OFF affordances for all the different Document Providers you might use?

I don't think iCloud Drive is required to use the Files app...therefore, since Audioshare and Google Drive show up as Document Providers, you should be able to access your samples from the Files app. :)

    Watch This:

  • @echoopera I believe you are correct, Files doesn’t require iCloud. But Spacecraft seems to need it in the way it is built currently, otherwise you get those weird folders that look more like Android (bin, system, etc.)

I can turn off iCloud in the Files app using Edit and flipping the switch off. Spacecraft still functions normally.
But if you go into iOS settings, tap your user profile, and disable iCloud system-wide, you will get the funky Android-ish folders showing up. I believe iCloud, and the toggle option under Edit go away innFiles if you disable iCloud system-wide. Files still works fine, but Spacecraft will have that problem of showing the wrong folders.

Hey guys the newest release v1.0.1 should never show that grey screen again. So far every single time somebody had the problem with the grey screen, it was fixed by enabling icloud drive. So now v1.0.1 instructs the user to enable icloud drive. That will buy me some time to figure out a better overall solution.

by the way if it hasn't been requested yet I would be remiss if I didn't ask for intelligent randomization!!!

Isn’t that what we do when moving the focal point? :)

I don't have the app yet so I don't know the extent.... but hopefully there is extensive randomization for stand alone mode.

  • @motmeister you nailed it.

Sorry guys, why didn't I think of just telling you this at the start!? I foolishly thought that if I told people that AU wasn't supported then they wouldn't bother trying to use it as an AU. Man, lesson learned!!

    Grain control:
    X: lenV
    Y: sepV

    LFO:
    X: posM
    Y: lfoP

    Reverb/filter:
    X: filC
    Y: revC

    Pitch/Mod
    X: mcpX
    Y: mcpY

    Main performance panel:
    X: posX
    Y: prsG

That will tide you over in the mean-time whilst I remove all other parameters and rename these to be more intuitive. I think that when folks change the other parameters that is what causes the crashes in AU usage!

So the grey screen is do to icloud “drive”not being turned on. Not to be confuse it turning on “icloud”. This is where I messed up. you have to scroll down a little past the icloud “ on” button..... and switch on the icloud” drive” button
once you do that.... the world is right again. 😉

  • nice to see someone who's still making great iPad apps based on the stand alone app vision for us stand alone users... and the fact that he's catering to AU users as well is the cherry on top.... a dev to support me thinks.

NOW you tell me! Heehee... trial and error is a painful discovery process. Lol ... i’m scarred for life and EXHAUSTED! But it makes me proud I got them right. COOL!

Good idea. I’ll try the Vinyl options in Turnado.

When tempo sync is activated (which will be optional), then the y-axis of the grain control pad will become quantised to multiples of the bpm (and maybe triplets!), so you won't get those nice continuous sweeps in frequency when activated (hence why continuous will be optional).

Wonderful app, thank you. Please think about making the optional tempo sync easily accessible in a performance (Ala Volca bass etc.). Love being able to do continuous sweeps and then quickly get back to multiples of tempo, all within the same performance.

Keep on doing lovely stuff :-)

@deltaVaudio Can’t check right now but does anyone know if I can sample direct from interface inputs in to Spacecraft? Like specify audio interface inputs instead of iPad mic? Really hoping it’s possible..... the idea of sitting and recording random samples straight in to the app appeals a lot.

I would think so. Also , If you have AUM. you can have whatever app or mic input you want, and set
spacecraft in the fx slot and record directly in
that way. I did it yesterday and it was lots of fun

you can via AUM but no monitor of the input. I mentioned it to the developer.

As a temporary solution to monitoring. you can set up a bus in aum before spacecraft granular and sen that audio to another track for monitoring.

Thanks man, I will check this out later, I'm no pro when it comes to routing.

Thanks will check this out. Hopefully a simple ‘rec input’ selection with monitoring options can be added inside Spacecraft after the dust settles.. Relying on AUM for this feels clunky for a sample app...

This is in fact clearer to me, many thanks. Great help guys and yes the developer is awesome and the app is like 3 euro or something!

Also if you guys like using a DAW on a PC/MAC the VST version is gonna be AWESOME! You can use the internal sample rate of the DAW meaning higher quality sample mangling if you wish!

  • @[Deleted User] - what’s the name of the Reaktor version? I did a search earlier but couldn’t find it.
