The midi devices could be really useful. If they would work properly.
You play a chord in arpeggio on hold.
You change the rate.
Nothing changes until you release and play a different chord. Mind blown.
Seriously. Get this app out of its beta state before asking money for a iap keyboard/chord device.
And this Matrix iap needs some serious work on pretty much everything.
Its slow and unintuitive and you have to perform acrobatics to get basic stuff done.
If you want any state of flow when recording,jamming, loop launching. This is far from ready.
And this not even about the performance bugs that would show up easily in any beta version, but it gets released anyway. Unbelievable.
End rant.
Agree with this, it’s even alpha state IMO. I hope it will be finished and polished sooner than later or never.
Off topic but one of my fav setups at present is to use Plugin Boutique Scaler 2 vst/AUinside Logic via midi into AUM via CCK. The new performance features of the ARP strumming and obviously chord functionality are second to none used alongside FM Tines etc it's a fantastic combination. I wish a ios Chorder app could come up with Scaler functionality.

Is there a knack to moving the notes on the piano roll? It just adjusts the length for me. What am I doing wrong?
Just like in so many other editors, touch the left half to move, the right half to change note length.

Yeah but it doesn’t work reliably. Sometimes it moves it, sometimes (more often it seems) it changes the note length regardless of which end I drag from.
@gregsmith If you can describe how to reliably reproduce that then please report to @sinosoidal, these guys are really quick at fixing bugs 👍🏼

Edit: just tried to make a video and obviously everything worked perfectly. Always the way, but at least it shows it doesn’t always happen 😂

Nice addition, it looks like it imports all channels into one clip so will need to split out multichannel midi files first but otherwise really happy with this.
Just returned to LK... File import is a doozy.. channel filtering would cherry-top it..

First at all for making LK an audio unit and the Auv3 midi clip launcher many users have been waiting for 😊
But also for the many improvements you have added since then:

plus you have been quick to fix reported bugs and make LK really stable 😊
I think LK works really well as an audio unit in AUM, it's easy to import midi files into clips and record midi from the internal keyboard and chorder and from other audio units.
Editing notes in the pianoroll editor is quite easy as well 😊
I think LK is missing recording/editing automation. E.g. it would be really nice to be able to add pitch bend to the midi notes.
I hope you will consider adding it in a future version 🙏
I don't see a lot of talk about LK on the AB forum, but for me it's the midi pianoroll editor/clip launcher I have been waiting for 😊

Think I was put off by some weird problems early on that meant I had trouble relying on it for playback. Will go back and try it again now.

Yes thanks to Imaginando for these great updates to LK, it's now a regular part of my toolset
Hope they continue to expand on it over time as this could get deeper and deeper but it's already so useful.

Since we have released the AUv3 support, a new range of possibilites have been added to LK. That also triggered some new challenges regarding stability that didn't happen before. We had to make demanding but important restructures to the code which took us a lot of time. Our next effort will definitely be midi cc recording. Please stay tuned!
Many do not realize that the app has been in the App Store since 2015 but since it was only available as an Ableton Live controller it didn't meant much to many here. If you like LK and feel it does help you in any way, please spend a minute to rate the app on the App Store, it means the world to us.
As always, your feedback is highy appreciated and very welcome. Good or bad, we are here to hear you and respond to your needs as musicians! Unfortunately, we now spend much more time developing than being creative making music. It does take a lot of time to develop software and when we have a spare time, we are usually tired of looking at screens!
