Same here ! iPad Pro 12.9'', iPadOS 13.7. You must keep hitting the '-' till the blue bar is in the lowest position, after that the app stops.

May I ask what's the best way to reach the dev in case something comes up or I just want to thank him for the most innovative app this year?

  • Quick question: does the sequencer on this one work when it is hosted as an AUv3, or does it require an external MIDI sequencer? (for example, Noir can still use its own sequencer when used as an AUv3, but MV08 needs external sequencer...)

    Thanks in advance!

The sequencer works on the AU. No need for an external midi sequencer

  • Thank you very much, @sippy_cup !

  • I'm not a glitch guy. I admire it sometimes, but the couple of Skiiid tracks I've heard sound like a foley artist falling down the stairs.

But somebody compared this to SeekBeats. That's pretty interesting. (Point of reference: I love DM2 and SeekBeats. Sector is fun but virtually useless to me.)

Is there a way to not have Total Skittering Glitch™ with this app?

This! The UI looks amazing but can you get regular drum sounds out of it? Like synthesized drums? No distortion? Or is it strictly distorted haven?

Maybe wait for the Drum Computer port from Sugar Bytes?

  • @papertiger I'm actually waiting on the AR-909 coming soon (guessing tomorrow) from AudioKit. This app looks cool, with a lot of functionality. Have just been wondering if you can get anything besides noise from it.

  • I am on the fence as well. I will probably jump because of the low price and ability to use the internal sequencer in an AU host (very important to me). I will let you know if I do and get something “undistorted” from it.

  • I jumped, but I just can’t seem to get anything even approaching a usable sound out of this. I’ve had it since page 1 and I keep trying, but everything I do sounds absolutely horrible.

I just love it... most original app imo for long time. There are bugs and the AU UI is kinda broken and confusing but dev is responsive.

    Which bugs do you faced?

I’m using it on a regular basis and it seems pretty solid as Auv3.

I was afraid of this. Thanks for posting, will control my SAS. 🤣🤣🤣

  • @Lil_Stu07 Bear in mind that it’s more likely to be me at fault than the app.

Everything I've seen on here and YouTube has been just distortion out of this. I think thats what's it's made for. No one has managed to get anything out of this but distortion. Which is fine, just not for me. Looks cool, but not my style.

  • Just got updated to universal

  • Yeah, you either like this sound or don't! If u don't like what u heard in vids, just avoid it, cos that's what it sounds like. Someone mentioned probs with AU interface? Last I tried it was working fine!

The UI issue I was referring to is with the sequencer when programming steps. You select a step and hit 'param' to edit it. All your changes will be ignored unless you first change step selection and then back.
There is another host sync related issue, but it's changed now with variable pattern length. Once I can reproduce it, I'll let you know.

Thanks so much for the answer👍

Can somebody confirm or tell me:

In the Video of the DEV it looks as if you can’t see the pads and/or sequencer together (at the same time) with the parameters in one window - while using the app as an AUV3. Is this correct? Or has something changed about this in the last updates ...

Cause this feels a bit weird for me ... that you can’t have the same view in the AU as in the standalone ...
