Amazing because I bought a Pro Mk3 last night and was wondering if I would be able to get it work with LK!!!
Who need Push, or Live?
@sinosoidal - fantastic updates recently - you've really elevated this app into becoming an essential compositional performance tool - tremendous work!
Is there a way to sync clip recording to AUM as host?
I'm trying to take advantage of the count in that AUM has, for recording into LK with another AU controller.
Edit Never mind, it syncs... User error.
@sinosoidal -
A couple of suggested features for LK:
A colour correlation on the pull up tab below that opens the midi clip for editing so that it is possible to see which midi clip is being edited.
Add a snapshot feature to capture all the current midi CC fader configurations on the page and a means to interpolate from one snapshot to another - with the option of choosing the morph/transition speed - this would enhance the performative aspects of LK. Snapshots quickly stored on the fly using the Up arrow in bottom right.
Yeah I like those suggestions, also I hope there might be plans to allow midi triggering of scenes @sinosoidal
Thanks for our feedback!
This are actually good suggestions and we will keep them in mind.
I personally dont like the idea of the UI become a xmas tree, but I think we could find a way of display the color of the clip in a discrete and usefull way.
By the way, we have been wondering ourselves if the community makes use of the viewport navigator that is on the toolbar. Because it takes a lot of usefull space that could be useful for other things.
It makes all the sense. We will find a way!
By the way, what controllers are you using?
Great
My controllers currently include a Push2, a Livid base, X-touch mini and akai MPD218.
You mean the view of the whole clip? I think it's useful as it helps identify the clip as you an see the whole midi pattern, and especially useful on moving around larger clips. I would miss it personally.

In version 1.8.2 we have added the ability to create empty clips on a new track but after some usage it feels weird because when we have already something going on with several scenes, creating a new track creates empty clips for all slots in the track which becomes confusing.
I'm actually thinking in doing a regression here and take this feature out.
I think it's very usefull, so please don't remove it.
Are there any plans for midi export and ghost notes?
We are adding midi export and Ableton Live set export.
What do you mean by ghost notes. Is like muted notes? And why are they usefull?
Thanks for your feedback. I think we are already convinced of its utility!
In the pianoroll, selecting another clip as a ghost track, so you are able to see the notes behind the notes in the actual clip. As a reference.
Example where you are able to see the chords from the ghost track:
Yeah the added empty clips become confusing. Adding a new scène adding empty clips for al tracks while I immediately delete most of them because of either copying or leaving them empty. I guess it depends on how you work. Perhaps as an option in a menu?
What exactly do you mean by viewport editor? The button with the 4 arrows to see the whole clip?
In addition to the follow actions on clips, perhaps an option to have the follow action after 2,3 etc repeats ? So mutate melody after repeating X times. Or next clip after X repeats.
Got it! Let us thinkg about this!
I like to keep it minimal. If I dont think something is REALLY necessary, I usually prefer to keep it out. In the beggining it sounded a great improvement, but the experience turned me down.
Not viewport editor but viewport navigator. The mini clip view that is on the right side of the clip composer tool bar, at the left of the clip inspector toggle button.
Totally agree! We thought about this before but haven't implemented yet!
This is how Live does it, using Shift:

Could we get a cursor/crosshair in the x/y pad? It’s a bit hard to see where it is at without a marker.
That sounds great at first, but not that much if you have several clips in same color. Maybe we just need the outline of the selected clip to be more pronounced or thicker.
Yes, makes sense!
@sinosoidal
In the latest beta 1.8.3 (149) I am unable to select any output, "None" is the only option:
same here
I did not know about that existing, that would be incredibly useful
New video from Imaginando showing how to make melodies fast and easy with LK:
They do the best tutorials.
This app just keeps exploding.
So impressed.
Well there goes the weekend.
+1 for ghost notes.
