So if you can.
You say you just add a note. Not note pulled across sequencer.
When do you press record on sequencer position ( with trigger via pattern set ) and when do you press stop record on sequencer. For it to be instant loop.
Plus transport dosent always work. Even though its mapped and did work and it dosent always trigger when stopped record.
So must be timing of recording.
No need to pull the note across all of sequencer.
The note is only a trigger in this instance.
When record is set to pattern you only need to press the rec button before
the beginning of the loop and it should start recording automatically.
Pressing the rec button again should stop recording at the end of the pattern
or at multiples of the pattern length.
Leave the Flexi Sampler at 1-shot and trigger
As the sequencer loops the note that is at the beginning of the sequence will
always trigger it beat perfect.
When you need the note to do something else then set the Flexi Sampler to transport.
For it to start looping using Transport you will need to press stop and then play again.
See above.
Exactly.
Think I worked it out.
Transport just stops in advance the way you have it set. Like a mute.
Before it was triggering like a cdj start stop.
This is mad.
Cheers Gravitas
Cool.
This is Gold!! Thanks for sharing.. 👍 👏
looping is quite rad ( especially with apps that are just audio ) Cheers grav.
later will see if mdi mapped to clear is more essential than monitor ( likely )
Today I installed Drambo also on my iPhone 8 Plus. It works surprisingly well. In portrait mode, only eight step buttons are visible. Is it possible to switch or (better) scroll to the other eight step buttons?
Yes... on the right side of TRIG MUTE buttons section you see 3 buttons for step navigation, tap on the middle button to zoom in / out
No problem, enjoy.
Once again no problem.
Glad that you've got it happening.
Perfect 👍 Thank you for the hint
@Gravitas so coming in late to this...... and not enough coffee... can you set this up in AUM so Drambo and Flexi can capture perfect loops of other channels??? I am trying to do this and I can only see a way as to have Drambo in a FX slot but dont know how to get to a single track it stays on main. And must be an idiot because it records indefinitely instead of stopping on pattern.
You and me both on the coffee.
Having my last cup of coffee for the day as I write this. 😏
Yup, you can do.
You can place a Flexi Sampler on the Master
out of dRambo itself and sample the main outs.
You can set up a Flexi Sampler or several Flexi Samplers
to sample from other channels in AUM.
You need to tell the Flexi Sampler to stop recording so
you have to tap the Rec button twice.
Once to start recording and then the second time
before the end of the length that you need to record.
I haven't figured out a way to press rec once and
have it stop recording at the end of the pattern yet.
That's one of the functions that I like about the Audiokit L7 Looper
though that app does have a major random not recording bug.
For instance here's a screenshot of dRambo both as a sequencer,
channel on the left, and as a sampler, channel on the right,
inserted after Modal from the Spectrum Burns Collection.
Doing this has given me an idea.
Hhhmmm,...
Thanks for that.
will we be hosting auv3 in drambo by year end? 2020 def could use this positive win!
@Gravitas
Thank you!!! So sorry how do you set up multiple flexi’s corresponding to AUM’s channels?
Will loop again later to see if clear is better than monitor to a midi button ( but do have multi flexis anyway )
Theorising clear would be good if it flashed and started to pattern. Like record.
So clear would clear at pattern start, whilst record then then starts.
Either place dRambo as an insert on a channel you need to
sample or route a bus through to dRambo and sample that way.
Either way you have to place dRambo as an insert
rather than at the beginning of an AUM channel.
Thank you!
No worries.
If you still haven't got it going, holla.
Its not me ( it might be ) Its the samper. Its so unreliable.
Iv opened save from yesterday when it were working. Transport is behaving different or sequencer triggers loop even though Iv used transport to switch it off and shouldnt trigger unless you tell it to. So I add a new sampler. Recorder just blazes at speed too fast for sequencer. Then when that fixes. It dosent even trigger.
Does anyone have all this hassle when using sampler?
Ok. Why does recorder just fly to end of recorder before sequence is finished?
@sigma79 the "Clear" button preserves the sample length, it just silences it. It looks like you had a shorter sample so your new recordings are being limited to that length. Can you try using the "Remove" button instead?
Hi. Thanks. Deleted drambo and its fixed but as you are saying. It makes sense that it recorded a preserved length, after a clear ( hopefully )
I need to either map, monitor, clear or remove. Via midi. Which do you recommend.
Remove seems better than clear then?
I thought monitor wouldnt be needed as i can use aum faders or chill say a drone via the app feeding sampler.
I think with record pattern enabled. Removing audio with remove you have to be spot on manually at end of audio/start of record.
Is there a way to have remove or clear set to auto pattern like record? Does it seem ideal?
If not its either monitor or remove to be mapped?
Thanks NoiseFloored
Apologies for appearing maybe rude if issue were just to remove previous audio.
Just seemed like buying a faulty 3k synth all the time but maybe it isnt for amatuers.
I will just map monitor as there will be multi samplers anyway but remove via pattern could be cool.
@giku_beepstreet I would be interested to know if/how Drambo runs on an M1 Mac. Of course I can understand if you prevents this in the first place (even if it might work technically). In the long run I would like to use Drambo as a plug-in inside Logic. When I own an ARM Mac one day ...
I was brave and made it available for M1, while still waiting for my machine (should be here in 2-3 weeks).
A very nice gesture. Thank you! Can't wait for first experiences ...
@giku_beepstreet - that's very interesting and encouraging news. I think getting Drambo out to a wider music making audience will work brilliantly and help to further establish Drambo.
Problem.
Made a track ( its just a track to see how things work ) a note here and there.
Volca drum and modular, with sb drum. Drambo samplers ( have no idea how to use volca modular )
Any way. I will post vid.
When you see drambo sequencer at top of page. Thats the timer for me.
When I record mononoke. It works how it should. Record before end of pattern ( timer above ) play notes. Stop record. Loop then triggers. Then via midi. I press transoprt at any point in sequence. This stops mononoke and if I press again it would play at next loop.
Dosent work same on skiiid. Transport acts as a cdj sort of trigger instead of an on off loop like mononoke.
Problem seems to move across sampler 1 and 2. After remapping. Either or but maybe not be the case.
