    I am doing my research!. It’s just that it’s badly documented. Maybe a need a Mozaic implant on my nipple for parameter mapping.
    Sorry for the lame humor… I’m sure someone has jumped at the “new post” alert hoping Loopy was released and here we are talking crap. @Michael hurry up, we’re loosing it!. 🙏😂

    I registered just to get me on this discussion. :P I tried so many hardware looper in the last couple of years but sold all of them eventually. I really find it hard to integrate them in a meaningful way. Tracks, MIDI functionality, tempo, effects etc. In my opinion there is a severe lack in the market for a stable multitrack looper that can be put as AU into AUM. I tried some of the apps already but all were just not there yet.. today I found this discussion and yeah please release this beast soon! I will pay in a heartbeat :D :D :D <3

    I have yet to read through all these messages but I really hope for something like this:

    I have 4 input devices, I want to record them on four tracks 1 track for each device. I would like to be able to select groups of loops for every track to overdub or add to.. aand I have to be able to send rec / undo / next loop etc. with a midi foot pedal and/or a normal MIDI controller because I am a guitar guy...^^ This would be killer on Ipad.. :D my setup would be so damn small <3

    What kind of input devices? What kind of interface to connect them to the iPad? That is a bigger (or at least more expensive) question to get out of the way than the capabilities of the looper. There are already iOS loopers that can do what you describe (Group the Loop comes to mind as closely matching what you describe), and a foot pedal is no problem either.

    iOS devices can only have one audio interface active at a time. So, for four inputs you'll need a class compliant audio interface with at least that many inputs. Midi input would be good too, but isn't necessarily needed, especially with a foot pedal like an iRig Blueboard that works over Bluetooth.

    That's not to say that Loopy Pro won't be the best looper when it comes (because I expect it will be) - just sayin' there are other things to consider. ;)

    Group the Loop is what I am currently using but it doesn't have multiple outputs and a very small dev team.

    I have a Steinberg UC44 hooked up to my iPad pro, a guitar, mic, and two more ins for all kinds of other instruments and route everything into aum. I would like to be able to control as much as possible with external MIDI gear and will probably buy an mx12 in the near future.

    If I could arm a track in LoopyPro with a button press and control the recording with my foot pedal, switch to another track with a button press on mx12 to start recording with the same foot pedal this would be absolutely ideal. Alternatively, I could run more instances of LoopyPro because it is an AU looper! In the end, I want to be able to fade tracks in and out and switch between loop groups like in Group the loop.

    Sure, yep.

    While Loopy Pro will work well as an AU, don’t rule out using it as a host though - it’s going to be an excellent host app, too, with support for things like MIDI AU’s and automatic multiple instances (for applying the same effect to multiple groups with different output channels, for example). And then it’ll work properly with getting the tempo from the first loop, which AU doesn’t really let you do.

    This is the part I find tantalizing. Get that beta out the door so you can sit back in your tiny chair and watch the $$$ roll in.
