It's version 1
Wait for nr. 2
Version 1 is always halfway there ...
I guess drag and drop is the Big Bang
But i live now and not sure how it will be in a year. Not sure if a Pro 2 will change much beside 3d touch, faster, thinner, bla bla bla
IOS is a great touch OS for small devices but it's not the right thing for iPad Pro. I doubt iOS 10 will change much but we will see maybe
@Cinebient I love that: "I live now"...
I was in a peculiar "now" when I opted to buy a nicely appointed last years Surface Pro and not iPad Pro.
Setting conditions were:
My laptop wasn't keeping up with cpu hungry music software
I bought an Air2 only 8 months ago.
I already owned Bitwig (and a half a dozen 1st tier vst synth)
I was testing 2 apps for iOS devs.
I mention the testing because it gave me a view of the future of 2 top iOS music apps - as advanced as any iOS app out there, and critically apps I can already run on Air 2 when they go live...
The Surface Pro hasn't replaced my iPad Air 2, and it isn't a stand-in for iPad Pro. It replaced my laptop with a second touchscreen tablet, a form factor and interface that iPad 1 showed me was music-making home. It made very little sense to get a second iPad when iPads can't run the music applications I own for OSX and Windows (and the iPad I already have runs the best of the best music software on iOS).
If I were a betting man, music-wise I'm saying Logic will come to iPad Pro someday, but I live now!
Yeah, i'm sure someday Logic iOS comes but i'm also sure that world war 3 comes too... but when??
Apple even don't fix huge bugs in Logic 10.2. since months.
And last but not least i would still miss a lot plug-ins. Most of my favourite desktop developers seems not interested yet in this platform.
Exactly. We live now
The hardware of the iPad pro its excellent in my opinion, its the OS the one that limits its posibilities, but unlike many people musician and non musician instead of just OS X on an iPad I would like a more professional iOS and an App Store model that allows developers to brings more professional apps to it.
Overall I'm glad I bought it and it has become my main device now and maybe even more in the future as things hopefully get better. The surface pro might be better but there are almost no real touch apps made for it and feel that unlike the iPad where touch comes first, fingers are the primary form interaction and things like the smart keyboard or the apple pencil are secondary made for more specific tasks, touch on the surface pro it's an add on and the keyboard the trackpad and maybe the pen are the primary form of interaction.
