And @JohnnyGoodyear , these are for you:

I know I am the opposite of a boffin (a buffoon?), but as simple as it is this RIGHT HERE makes me weepy in the happy department. AND that it's a part of the update, let alone the upgrade. I know, simple things for simple minds, but the very definition of workflow :)

Waitaminnit ... DrumPerfect channels jump from 1 to 10 - WE LOST SUPPORT FOR 2 through 9!! All because a few OCDers just HAD to have their IAA lists alphabetized.

Look upon thy chaos wrought, ye mighty, and despair!
  • Dang my OCD is showing again :*
  • First request for me is to be able "open in" Auria to import SF2 or SFZ files. Tying that to iTunes and even ifunbox is still an inconvenience IMHO.  Dropbox import seems to exclude import into the sample folder and does not recognize sf2. Unless I am missing something.
  • Great idea, but it's not quite possible, because SFZs require a folder as well as the file.  But you can do this now a different way because Auria Pro supports zip files as Open In.  Just make a folder structure that looks like this:

    Sampler Instruments
      Bass
        Your sfz.sfz
        Your Sfz Folder

zip it and send it to Auria.  It'll appear in your Lyra samples the next time you open Lyra.

UK prices for all apps increased when the government slapped VAT on it, so if you take the coverted dollar pruce and add 20% it's about right.
Actually VAT was already payable but was being paid at the Luxembourg rate to the Luxembourg government. The EU agreed this was unfair. Now the various EU governments are getting the VAT from their citizens purchases at their national rate and the Luxembourg government had to raise other taxes to make up the shortfall.

Thanks for the quick response on SFZ.  How about SF2 files though? Those are simply one file. How does Lyra see them folder?  I have a number of important SF2 files I would love to import from say FileBrowser from my timemachine drive or from Dropbox without having to physically connect to a computer.
  • You got it, I've just added this, and it'll appear in v2.01

Not sure if you got an answer, and I can check auria later, but if its alphabetical the way a computer does things 19 comes before 2...so 11 is seen as one and one, through 19, then 2 is 2, 20 is 2 and zero, etc.

If you were kidding, then no worries, if not hope that answers it!

  • Anybody getting a ton of crashes in Pro? I'm on an ipad 4, been filling in the "what we're you doing" box for the crash reports. Read some beta testers saying they're already several versions ahead of this one so I figure it'll get straightened soon, I'll probably chill out on using it until an update.
  • ...and any other reports on how Pro runs on ipad4 would be much appreciated.

I had literally no more than 2 tracks open and CPU usage at less than 5% so I figure it's some of that iOS administrative type stuff going wrong.
  • rhcball,

I'm happy to try to solve the issues you were having.  What did you press to get it to crash?

Something different every time. I was just trying to get a feel for it, one time it crashed drawing a MIDI note (using Lyra), another time I wasn't pressing anything, another while downloading a Lyra sample, etc. I tried to fill out the pop-up as best I could afterwards. Haven't tried reinstalls or ipad restarts yet.
  • I should probably just restart this thing cuz every app has been a crashfest lately.
  • Make sure to put something identifiable in your crash reports, like your name, so I can find them.

Yep, submitted 3 more with rhcball at the end.

If you were kidding, then no worries,

Sorry, I was totally joking. I think I just wanted to say something goofy with "wrought" and "ye mighty" in it - I remember the old days when 10 came before 2 etc. in computer file naming ... although that's been sorted out on the Mac for years now. So actually, that's my OCD showing (also wish apps with multiple channels had a little "show/hide" triangle next to them for faster scrolling)!
  • Submitted about 10 more crash reports over the last hour or so. The most complex my project got was 1 active MIDI track and 3 audio files. I restarted my ipad earlier too.
  • Great, thanks!  That will really help.

  • @WaveMachineLabs: Has the locator placement been filed as a bug already? I discovered, not only is the locator set on the mixer page and not the track page, there is no way to enable looping. Auria v 2.0 this is.

The locator icon is on the mixer page by design. I quite liked having it in the edit view as well but it was removed......You should be able to double tap and drag over the time markers to bring up the loop points then you can drag them around, snap to bars etc enable looping in the transport options. This should be working in 2.0?I don't have this version on my iPad to test though.

Yeah I've been looping playback by using the timeline selection deal that puts a blue square haze over the loop section, whatever technical name there is for that.
  • edited December 2015
@dwarman: Loop locators can be set on the Edit Window (or track page) by double-tap-n-drag in the timeline. Loop playback can be enabled/disabled in the Transport Menu (tap on the timecode counter). Look for 'Loop'.
  • When I freeze tracks, it also mutes them.  Weird.  This is in Auria 2.0.  Not Pro.  Was gonna record some Bias FX, but I needed to freeze tracks, and then couldn't hear anything.  UnFreeze, and track has sound.  hmmmm

Odd aint it. This is the way I've always done it and didn't know no better guvnor....
  • Why was it removed? To use the set locator button in the Mix window only - you have to posiition the cursor in the Edit window, switch to the Mix window, tap the set locator icon, switch back to the Edit window, move the cursor to the desired end position, switch back to the Mix window, and tap the same set locator button - with a reversed icon now - to set the end point. One cannot stay in the Mix widow and edit the location counter manually instead of switching to the Edit window for positioning. There is no "type in the cursor position" option (that I can find). In versions 1.x the only difference is the set locator button is in the Edit window as well, saving the window switching distraction, much more natural. Although gven the visual method of setting them and this awkwardness of use I fail to see why it was left in at all. At least, on the Edit window, it was somewhat useful. And the space for it is still there.

I think I found a bug here. The first time I swiped a locator selection in the timeline, the "Separate" button was available. It splits at both locators. Nice. But if I undo that operation, the Separate button greys out and I have yet to figure out how to get it back. Surely the state of the button should be restored if I use it then undo its use? So I can fine-position the locators and redo?
