  • I have more information, some one on the Auria forum says its 6 inches away from a fire, if you are standing 10 feet away. I have no idea what that means, but it does make me feel a bit better :)

I think it means, 10' away for a reference, and now, Auria is at the stage of being 6" away as opposed to 10' away as it initially was back in 1997.  So....One could conclude, that we are very close to seeing it.  I think............hmmmm......

from what i know, you'll have to wait.... ;)

Well, there goes all the tidings of joy this Christmas then...

  • To some extent the timing is out of Rim's control, Apple can take up to two weeks to approve new apps, and if they decide to reject it then it takes longer still.
  • I haven't seen any updates to my apps, well very very few the last two weeks.  They must be slow, or maybe there are just not any updates...........
  • it's getting to be crunch time at Apple. Everyone will be pushing to get their new stuff in. And all the devs are at their mercy.
  • For the mercy of the audiobus populous, this thread should just be closed.

  • Having APro will certainly nice, but it sorta sux that the current version has problems and limits that haven't been addressed. I spent money for a "big time DAW", (just watch those promo vids) but it doesn't quite feel that way...
  • Patience, my young padowan's, patience.

    It'll be good.. B)

There is a strict NDA and he re-emphasized it last week, so there won't be any answer but "it's close." His attention to detail has been very evident though and I think that you'll really like it when it's released.

I'm actually surprised that so many beta-testers are talking about it here.  Most NDA's I've signed also state that you're not supposed to tell people you're testing something under NDA :)

I didn't know about Fabfilter One. There're two synths and the sampler!

  • Am I the last person to realize that the Auria website has been updated and that it shows the sampler, prices and other stuff?

I think it's only just gone live, presumably the release is imminent.
  • Was just going to get some sleep, but now :)

  • Great, this finally might be a sign that release is imminent after all!

Since the Beta Program was announced in public and especially on this forum it is save to assume that there are some of us that are indeed involved into the Beta Program. If some of those individuals choose to announce this I would say that this is not a violation of an NDA unless other stated. Which in turn we do not know as we have not seen the respective NDA, or maybe some of us have.

    :)

  • Generally I would be more discreet about being a beta tester, however there was some fairly crazy stuff being said, insulting the developer and the testers etc... So I felt it was important to set the record straight about the work that Rim has been doing behind the scenes. I think in this case it was justified, and no actual secrets or features were revealed.
  • Exactly my point of view.
  • Ok so the sampler is a player from what I see. You can't slice your recording and turn it into a sampler instrument.
    I'll wait for a review.

  • NDA is officially lifted as of now :)

I am at liberty to reveal that Auria Pro is awesome :p
  • Looks amazing... like Logic on iOS.
  • Same here, you guys are gonna love it. No need for Logic on iOS now, it is the new standard!! Beta Testing this program was so much fun.

Nope it doesnt do this. It is a SF2 and EXS Player for now.
  • Yes I think "sample player" would be a better description, it's not an AKAI style sampler.
  • Lyra comes with a free 4GB downloadable sample library, but also supports SFZ, EXS and SF2 samples, so you can add your own collection.  It's a true disk streaming sample player, so even large samples like a 4GB piano will play on an iPad.

  • @WaveMachineLabs ;

Could I ask about upgrading. I originally bought the basic version of Auria and then upgraded to the full version. If you do an iap upgrade, will it be possible from an already upgraded Auria? If I decide just to buy the Pro outright, are all my plugins transferable?
  • It's great and the main reason I might not wait until iPad pro 2 to get an iPad pro :)
