@kaikoo Sir, there are children who need food, Vicars in need of alms, blues songs as yet unwritten. If I went out and made enough money to buy all these items you demand I'd be petit bourgeois in a moment and just think then how my authenticity would be impacted!
I will, at some point, I hope, spend a lot more time understanding. The Fabfilter stuff alone is so full of options, there's months of time to spend understanding how they work. But, they have great presets, that either work on their own, or as good starting points, and I find I get pretty damned fine results just from that. When I look at what I do, it's pretty simple, and if I can dial in good sounds, and keep learning, it's only going to get better.
I am so glad I got Timeless2. I tried so many of the iOS FX apps over the years and never got into them. timeless2 has a boat load of presets easy to fiddle with and make work without having to get a degree. i am sure it is super powerful for making things from scratch but for pure preset yowzee factor i get a lot of fun and wonder from it without wondering what i am doing wrong. The way the interface just shows what is used and relevant... Perfect.
Are these still on sale? I've just got Auria Pro so might get a couple if they are ...

I just wanna thank you all who helped me decide to get Pro-Q2. It's worth every penny! Period.
It is by far the most awesome plugin I've ever bought. Was editing my acoustic guitar track I did using the Sonic Port VX and I used the VX mic and with all the great tips from this thread, I set the recording level to -11ish and it provided plenty of headroom now to mix. But what's amazing is this ProQ2 plugin, it literally can change the recorded guitar to sound like a complete different acoustic guitar. It simply is mind boggling at what power we have now at our little fingertips. Thank so much Kaikoo and all for the tips. Please keep them coming.

Vectorscope can really help defining and knowing stereo image from Q2! Have you got Saturn?
Got it too. I haven't used it much as I'm learning Pro Q2, but it was a great deal at the price. So glad for the kids iTunes gift card.
