  • This looks so packed full of utility I'm somewhat scared I won't be able to make the most of it...

  • Looks great! I hope you can save configurations as presets

  • On the way, like, submitted to Apple on the way?

  • "Play back recordings, soundfiles and loops as channel sources in the mixer for backing tracks, further processing or mixing."

    Awesome. Sauce.

  • Instabuy when it hits the AppStore :)
Just what I've been waiting for since I started to use sound-generating apps on iOS.

Some day I hope that apps will be allowed to record any audio produced by any app on the device and also make it possible to do bit-perfect realtime audio between devices over BT or Wifi.

Any only AB state saving? Not AUM presets?

  • This will be fantastic! Is there any info about pricing?

I'm pretty sure it will support that as well, just not sure if right away. So it seems like it's in review.

Yeah hope it's got it's own preset system so that if you were using just AUs then everything is saved ..fingers crossed.

  • Kinda drooling

  • Sweeeeeet!

  • I have to say as a group we are not very adept at this 'playing hard to get' thing...

  • More of a stew IMO

  • That's pretty impressive.

  • So, with the fx apps, and AudioShare, this is like a complete recording environment now.

  • And universal, also completely MIDI mappable!

  • You can save sessions with AU settings which is good news. Looking forward to this.

  • and AUM will be damned lightweight!

  • So this seems to integrate tightly with audioshare. That's awesome. Anyway anything by Kymatica is instabuy.

I'm new to iOS sound editing, Audiobus etc. Mostly just playing and trying to figure stuff out at the moment.

Recognized a benefit to being able to mix inside Audiobus and got MiMix which I like... but, looking at AUM from a developer who's coded some of my favorite apps so far, it looks like with AUM you wouldn't even use Audiobus OR MiMix?

What benefits, other then likely a more efficient workflow and smaller footprint... would using AUM over Audiobus/MiMix offer?

  • http://kymatica.com/Software/AUM According to this page you can use audiobus. Read on.

from what I can see- this would make AB unnecessary

  • I have a feeling this will become my DAW of choice

That's kinda what I was thinking

  • I think this is an auto-buy just because of the developer's pedigree, but I'm a little confused as to how it actually works. It looks like it could be anything ranging from a glorified version of the recorder in AudioShare (which does AB/IAA instrument and FX nesting) to an "almost DAW". Though unless there is actual ability to edit and move audio, I don't consider that a "DAW".

My current state of mind well stated. I am optimistic, enthusiastic and confused (a trinity that has served me pretty well truth be told).
