Now, I have to buy all the AU instruments and FX. IS there a list somewhere?
Haha, thanks! I wanted to have an intro price that made it feel easy to press the buy button
You mean the app switching? Switching to the host from a node app is very easy, the node apps just asks for the URL of the host and opens it. This has been part of IAA all the time, and most IAA node apps at least has a button to switch to the host, together with transport controls.
What's not so common to see in node apps is the panel that lets you switch to any other node app currently hosted by the same host. But that UI is built into iOS as well, devs just need to take a look at "CoreAudioKit".
If there is a resource usage difference I would believe it's very small. But of course, some node app could decide to activate more complicated code when connected through the midi-enabled IAA port, who knows! For AUFX, it should be no difference at all.
That's right, IAA does not have "output apps" in that sense. This is a good example of how AUM is great to combine with Audiobus!
It's already on my own wishlist and planned for a future update
The idea is to make it super-easy, by drag-and-drop, to move/duplicate nodes and channels, or create a new channel with source slot receiving on a bus already used elsewhere (send or destination), or the other way around, etc.
Exactly this. I tapped AUM and was like "wait, what is this??" I've never seen this before outside of the genius that is the AB panel. Add it to your new "Dev notes" thing on github? Please?
Good idea! Will do that.
Love. Pm for my TestFlight address!
@j_liljedahl thanks a LOT for this. Gamechanger if there ever was one (since AB that is)
Bought.......
Ten stars. The Next Big Thing. I am overwhelmed. The ease of recording every instrument on individual channels in Audioshare is simply ace and I'm just scratching the surface. AUM makes me ponder over, for the very first time, that at one point I may want to invest in an iPad Pro.
Man we got two threads going on here.
@j_liljedahl I thought I read you will be adding sync stop, and that would be the one thing I'm seeing that would be really useful, especially for the file player. I realize that takes away slightly from the whole live mixer aspect, but with so many things potentially going on, being able to tap on the file player stop button knowing it's going to sync stop so you can go elsewhere to do more mixing would be really handy.
Again, as I noted in the other thread, AUM is looking like a true gem.
woot
Actually, I was talking about synchronized stop of recording, to be able to make beat-precise loops on the fly.
But synchronized stop of the file players is also something I've been thinking about! Could be an option, though.
Can't figure out how to delete stuff. A channel nor an insert/send. I see how to eject an input via left swipe but not a channel or an insert. I should prolly go to bed and then RTFM tomorrow.
No sleep til Brixton....

Can't figure out how to connect anything loaded to the built in keyboard. Have tried several instruments & connection settings but no luck.
Read help menu about built in keyboard but I'm guessing it's assuming I already have experience & knowledge about connecting devices in software.
Hint please?
If the loaded app is an IAA app with MIDI input (like Animoog, Nave, etc) or an AudioUnit extension synth (iSEM, etc) then just tap the menu button next to the node and choose the keyboard icon.
If the app instead only has Virtual MIDI, tap the wrench button next to the built in keyboard, and choose the apps virtual port as destination. Then in the synth app, make sure it listens on its virtual MIDI input.
oh wow!! this app is opening whole new worlds of audio production on my iPad and phone. the only problem is, ......I am trying to get ready for work, but can't put it down. Great job on this app!!
Also, should I be asking questions about use on the Kymatica site's forum instead? I had a look there recently & it doesn't appear to have had any activity there in awhile.
Will post over there and see. Seems like asking the dev questions about his app on another app dev's forum isn't quite good etiquette?
Sure, it's probably better to ask specific questions about usage of my apps in my forum! Perhaps this is a chance to get some more activity going there (Unfortunately my own forum is not as slick and easy to use as this, though). You can always of course send me an email with questions, but it's also good for other to be able to see in case they wonder the same things.

Cool. Will cut/paste same question over there instead.
Cheers
Don't worry, you're in good company I'm usually that guy too.
in fact here I go:
Just brilliant work @j_liljedahl love the UI and the feel of the workflow
Probably been asked already but a great time saving option (as well as quantised ending of recordings for the loop player, which I know is planned) would be perhaps a long press on a channel record button brings up a menu then you can select a free channel, or next free channel which the recording is then cued up as a loop on that channel when done.
Perhaps you intend to keep the loop player simple but I also could see the potential for this being more advanced since it's has an advantage attached to Audioshare. it could (perhaps as an IAP) become a mid controlled multiple clip launcher (per channel) that would be great too.
Posted the same question over on your forum.
By the way... starting an account via my twitter account didn't work for some reason like it did here.
Went ahead and registered and posted the same question. Will try your instructions and if I can't figure it out or get it working, will follow up with specific questions over on the Kymatica forum.
Synchronized stop of the file players would be nice to have.
In addition to that, customized quantization for each file player would be pretty sweet too. Say for example you have a 4 bar file on Ch. 1, and a 2 bar file on Ch. 2, you could hypothetically set the file on Ch. 1 to sync quantize every 4 bars with the file on Ch. 2 to sync quantize every 2 bars.
This would help keep everything in time, allowing the user to tend to other things in AUM.
Though that idea is sort of turning AUM into a clip launcher rather than a mixer, so you may not want to go that route. Just a thought I had. Still might be a good addition.
I immediately went to the clip launcher thing too because it just makes so much sense from a live performance standpoint. One place to mix and launch--boom. As you point out, this takes the app more toward a "DLW" (digital live workstation) than a mixer, but it's so close to being that DLW that would be over the top useful.
Never mind. I was on my iPhone and had it in silent mode. Doh!
Thanks, still trying to wrap my head around this. The destination is called "IAA / Audiobus Output" so are there some IAA apps that can use this output destination directly or does it really mean Audiobus only? I'm just wondering if apps could be updated to take advantage of this output in AUM directly or if they will always need Audiobus.
O this did make me laugh. We all do it sometimes
