If using IAA host sync, and Blocs added a way to arm recording before playing, it could start recording when IAA host starts playing, from the start.
If using Link, and Blocs synced rec start to it, you would tap rec just before the first bar you want to record, so you could let the loop run once and then tap REC just before it wraps around.
Matt, that makes perfect sense. Thanks for your response and congrats again on the app; for all my bellyaching I am absolutely loving it.
Thanks for the praise , but I am not Matt @Launchpadforios Lmao. I answered your questions because I had asked Matt the same things hehehe. Glad to have been of service
these guys are ableton clip experts, they know they need volume envelopes.
I'm sure they do ?
I finally found that "ass hole" you all rave about
and started fingering it with my two fingers.
It didn't slip back !
What am I doing wrong?
Morning chaps. Good news. It works.
sweet.
Oops! Thanks anyway!
Update soon then?
We're planning four weeks. (two of that is apple waiting to review it after we've submitted it).
@Launchpadforios
One other little thing. When changing the key note, you can't start or stop blocs. Also, some blocs are locking up when loaded initially until changed, only noticed this since updating to 9.3 but might be coincidence.
I noticed this yesterday evening too, it seems they are taking time to get transposed now where they weren't taking as long before. When you first switch the key you can see what looks like a progress bar on the clips that are transposing.
EDIT: Actually, now I think about it, 9.3 is not the only new thing, I was also using my own recorded loops for the first time too, and there were 2, one 32 bars long and another which was 48 bars long, so perhaps it is just that my iPad Mini 2 is struggling to do the processing quick enough for long loops
@Launchpadforios
Hi Matt, something else I struggled with last night, when recording in infinite mode, the playback always starts from the last position reached, and does not go back to the start until a loop point.
Imported loops however play from the beginning each time you stop and start playback. This was making it very difficult to try and slip the loop into the correct timing, Is this intended behaviour ?
I'll admit I didn't try the same thing with a fixed length recording though.
@Vorgon You're welcome
@Launchpadforios
Oops found another small problem.
Export to AudioCopy is not working. AudioCopy has a folder for Blocs, but nothing gets saved in it.
Are you using inbuilt audiocopy or retronyms audiocopy, if the latter check for copy notifications that need to be acknowledged before the copy happens.
The later, but no acknowledgement coming up as it usually does.
go to home screen and check notifications there. This drove me so insane with retronyms audiocopy I uninstalled it.
I guess you can now produce crap faster than before
Looking forward to future developments with this one. For me (as it is) it's just far too limited to do anything I find interesting. It's fun, but I was hoping for more.
Nope no notifications. Will stick to AudioShare
Have both Audiocopy and Wave got permissions to send you notifications ?
It is about getting to this point myself where I gave up lol.

Sorted thanks Andy. I usually switch most notifications off, so that fixed it. Good call sir!
Good to have this sorted for those that want to use the retronyms sound packs I guess
@AndyPlankton
I've got a few of their sound packs. Bought in sales. Not bad some of them, but most are too hipperty hopperty cheesy vocal like
hahaha - Since last nights conversation, and me listening to OA on the way to work this morning I'm itching to get me guitar out and record some spacey reggae chops to go with my one drop drum patterns and dubby bass lines.
It is what I started using a computer for many years ago, but since doing it i've gotten so distracted with doing the synths and stuff that the guitar and bass are mainly sitting in their cases
I think that now with Wave and its keytagging and transposing I have what I need to be able to just record loops as I get the urge, then put them together later, rather than starting with drums, then doing bass, then keys and keep going round until I heard it to death and no longer want to put the guitars on.
Yep I should have some spare cash in a month or so. Had got swept up in the idea of another iPad, but after the new 9.7 Pro - I'm thinking of learning guitar to go with my iPad. £800 or so should get me a guitar and amp....plug in my iPad as well and instant jamming rig for parties
Just got to learn to play haha
O and maybe one of those launchpad controllers. How's yours going?
You can spend a lot less that £800 and get a good setup.
I got one of these nowadays which although relatively cheap is pretty good

Then all you need is Tonestack and an instrument input for your iPad, I use the Alesis Core 1

I just use a pair of headphones most of the time, saves on earache from the missus
