That's why I like this app but I really hope to be able to access my imported samples someday and combine them with the purchased packs which sound amazing by the way.
I think this app as utterly superb. Even if they don't add the feature requests- it still will be. I have no idea how anyone could think otherwise- (unless they don't understand it's potential). It is up there at the top of my tree- & it will be in constant use. This is the app I wanted- but I didn't even know I did- because I couldn't even imagine something as good.
+1
This app is already so useful, and with more to come is only going to become more and more central to my creative process.
Can you describe how you use it? You obviously love it, and I'd like to understand why.
I use it to try loops out together.
I use it to change the key of loops.
I use it to jam loops together to make new loops.
I use the loop packs for inspiration.
I use it to mix together loops for jamming with.
If it expands with new features, it will only get better and more useful.
Can't believe the developers are taking such an active role.
Really cool app. But! When recording audio loops there is a very audible glitch on the first playback, is this normal?
Isn't is always the most obvious things that are missing that seem to make the most difference?
very nice people.> @Telstar5 said:

elaborate?
Just did my first test run with it, an issue for me is, since I use vocal samples a lot, I need a part/sample/clip to (preferably) fire at its beginning. The different vocal samples were of varying lengths and I kept turning them on halfway through, so sone sort of force-to-beginning-of-sample deal would be helpful.
Besides that, this thing is fantastic for sucking more marrow out of Borderlands/Bitwiz/BentFM samples. I can illustrate the good/bad with an example, here: (this is just a test, don't judge me!)
I like it because it speeds up my workflow- not just a bit- but a lot- and also makes it much, much more fun.
I am not using it for the actual music production (I use launchpad for that)- I use it for finding the clips to put into Launchpad. So for me it's ability to help me find clips, size them to beat, and quickly have them appear in Launchpad- is the business. I may be wrong- but I have not seen another app that can do this with such speed and efficiency... and so easily.....plus whilst you are searching- you can have a variety of other clips playing in the background- which you can also rapidly change/ mute etc- so this helps me get a feel for the construction of the song as I go about it..... It seems so solid too - not a whisper of a glitch
I was previously picking the bones out in Audioshare- with no selectable background Audio.......... much slower and nowhere near as much fun. (I still use Audioshare and also rate it highly).
Yeah Session Band apps suddenly are so great to have to onto this app
An obvious choice but not one I would have gone for without your nudge, so thanks.
I JUDGE YOU erm, to be a very interesting somewhat corroded young man with some of Tom Waits' Bone Machine in your back pocket.
Actually, I liked the vibe of this and wanted something completely other (sax? soprano lady?) to come in over the top etc.
I have Soprantron, which is a soprano lady, maybe I'll break my forever-long streak of never going back to anything once I've uploaded it.
I've got that lady also. I think you might be onto something. Worth a go and if she's rubbish just deny you ever tried it etc.
Love it!
We'll sort out the first issue you raise when Slicing/re-arranging comes out. Hopefully sooner that we first thought.
We've got a motown'ish/soul'ish pack in the works with tons of live instruments? how about that next week?
@Launchpadforios Is there away to eliminate the little lag at the start of a newly recorded loop on the first pass? The only workaround I have at the minute is to start recording loops halfway through instead.
OK. We'll bring it forward for next week.
A reggae pack would be nice.
I'll buy that.
@rhcball I dig that track! Much to my chagrin, I agree with @JohnnyGoodyear that I wanted something to act as counterpoint about a minute in, but well done, sir!
We've actually got one of these scheduled too.
Exactly it. Anyone who has used Acid by Sony on the PC must be missing the browser, well this is it but on steroids
A new wave > @Launchpadforios said:
a new wave (devo/cars-ish) pack would be awesome or a space rock pack, too with Fripped out effects and psychedelic samples.
I just noticed that you can copy and paste not only in the same song- but into different songs as well- so you could have a few songs as holding bays- as there is no file as yet.
There's a thought.
But that's no quicker than importing them from Audioshare plus you have to remember which project the sample is in. Also i presume it won't "discover" them
