Can't wait till you're a bit older and some nob pulls out the same old tired crap on you.
Oh to see the look on your face.

Y'know, seeing the carnal rage come out of the old farts I mentioned earlier if someone young dare be as bold to suggest someone is "the greatest musician under the age of 40", and knowing the general sources of that rage, leads me to the conclusion that I will never be in that particular camp.

The raging old farts see it as an affront to the deities of their cult, and lose their minds over the suggestion. And the fact they can't let it lay is proof of the amount of programming they've received.

So, sad to report, I won't be joining the ranks.

What music did I trash? Could you quote?

I already covered your point earlier, but I don't think you're intent on receiving it.

Um, no, I don't randomly trash others whenever they suggest they like new music.

I mercilessly trash others who get their Depends in a twist whenever anyone else says they like new music.

Did I properly A/B that for you?

But you do randomly trash people by selecting a group of people instead of just stating a dislike for an act.

It's obvious that we all wave our own flags from time to time. Some people obviously do what you are saying. You are now acting in a similar manner.

Why not reformulate your dislike to be aimed at the act which you dislike and the people who do said act, may know who they are. Your initial argument against the act, however well founded, lost reasoning. Not for why you pointed the finger, but for where you pointed the finger.

That was in regards to corporate ownership of music that literally won't be relevant to people's lives 50 to 100 years from now, to them it literally would be "ancient shit" unless it is artificially maintained through corporate power.

I'm thankful we aren't still doing the Charleston today, like it was popular and relevant today.

Plenty of older music is relevant to me, I even love me some hot numbers from the 1800s. The difference is I don't hold it over anyone else's head.

To the creeps I'm talking about, it is what they live for.

  • There's obviously some kind of argument going on here, but I literally have no idea what it's about. This thread wins the prize for most incoherent argument on the internet ever.

C'mon guys, just having a little fun.

I think the kernel of truth has been preserved.

Time for reflection, and maybe stop crapping on those who like music created more recently than 50 years ago.

And, by the way, I simply pulled the number "50" out of the fact that roughly 1965 seems to be the year the cult programming was at its fullest tilt.

And new musicians are constantly attacked by those who have absorbed that programming. It's a shame.
