All this earpod panic, and I realize that NOBODY has said anything about iOS 10. Seems it won't come out until Sept. 13. So that means no apps or updates for even longer? Alas.
£919 for the iPhone 7? Where is that price from and which model? Shows from £599 for the 32gb iPhone 7
The price is for the 256GB version of the iPhone 7 Plus on the Apple Store site.
Wouldn't a 128gb do?
Well, I can store more samples, videos and music on the 256GB version
Yeah you never have enough space. Still blooming regret getting a 64gb Air2
its so small, I would guess the DAC is still inside the phone internally, just passing a direct audio connection thru the lightning cable? Right? How could there be a DAC inside that adapter?
What no Lightning to Sczi adaptor!
Yah that sounds right. Although i am an idiot.
as musicians, can we all agree that the airpod/ earpod design is awful? I love some good cans and my silicon earbuds fit great, but I think I've tried jamming those hard plastic earpods into my ear exactly ONE time in my life.
I will never pay to put those in my ear, not sure I would do it if paid.
I can't use Apple EarPods. They just don't sound right unless I get them in a position they won't stay in. I do have weird ears though
I would have liked to have seen an iPod Touch with a bigger screen, maybe 4.7" like the iPhone. Maybe we'll still see it eventually. Could be used for music, photos, video, gaming, Wi-Fi... And yes making music... All without the cost of an iPhone. Yeah, I guess that's all somewhat niche, but I still think there's a market for it.
Agree, what about an iPod Plus for $250
Mini pro pencil is what i was hoping for.
I'll bet my shirt that it's not running ios9.
I just updated mine this morning. Works great so far. I find it quicker overall.
I'm more curious about the performance of the A10 Fusion chip and what it might mean for iOS music production...next iPads should scream.
I hate any and all earbud type headphones. I will never use anything but old fashioned "cans".
I'm tired of companies trying to make a thinner, lighter iDevice. I much prefer the weight and thickness of my iPhone 4 over my new 6. I don't want my phone to be paper thin.
Yah i gotta save my ear canals for ear plugs at bedtime. Cant stand pluggy buds in the day.
No headphone jack= instant audio interface, no? Yes!

7 and 7plus still have 2gb ram but 40% faster than 6s
That's because it's a total disappointment. Just check the list of new features. I don't understand why they call it "our biggest release ever". It's getting ridiculous
IMHO it contains nothing worth updating for, yet I'm pissed that the older, 32-bit devices can't be updated this time. Looks like a business decision, not a hardware-related issue
The Lightening connector doesn't do analog audio, there HAS to be a DAC in there. In fact I think Phil even said that the lightening adaptor has always had the ability to do digital audio, but I need to rewatch it the event to confirm that.
In all fairness, the DAC inside the phone was probably just as small if not smaller.
@Tarekith interesting info, thanks.
I'm also curious if the new adapter has TRRS for mic input. or is it headphones only?
Let's hope "the best iPhone ever" also has USB 3 speeds over the Lightning connector. Did anybody catch if they mentioned anything about that?
Because doing an iTunes sync of 256GB over USB2 would be ... How to describe... Magical I suppose?
'Magical' lol
Yup, I think they would have mentioned USB3 if they included it. Magical indeed...
It would take insanely long to back it all up using WiFi too
(I'll soon have a 100/100 connection but even then it would max out at roughly 8.5MB/s).
And seriously 'backup' of iOS-Devices should be included for free in the iCloud quota...
