The problem with the sonic port is it doesn't have USB. So you can't use it on a computer and you can't use it on a hub with other USB gear plugged in. Otherwise it's nice.

EDIT: Sonic Port VX would be the one to get with both USB and lightning but it's 70€ more than the other one.

Effects loop? No, but you can definitely run effects before the interface or after it on the way to an amp, DI, etc.

Yes, I can do that now though with my Focusrite. The "loop" I'm talking about is basically to insert an expression pedal in the chain somehow to gate the pedals in an amp sim like I can with a board. It's my last "missing piece" and I don't really think it's possible. Still, I threw it out there like a kid who asks for space rocket for their birthday.

This must be the one I looked at on their site. It definitely had USB as well as that funky little port for iOS devices. Same as the one on my jam.

Update: Yep, this is what I was drooling over... VX

  • And it had two 1/4" outputs.

  • I've derailed this topic, haven't I...sorry

Yep, what @mrufino1 said. [no effects loops]

[edit: I realize i missed some of the conversations when I replied ]

  • @boone51 tell me more bout this space rocket... Do you have a YouTube example of effects loop?

  • It will be interesting to see when the new iPhone 7 processor tech is used in the iPad Pro range. The use of different cores could help with battery life. The expansion of RAM should mean the 9.7 should get more too.

I would love to see them get rid of the 3.5mm jack and instead have 2x Lightning (doubt it though).

Yes! Next iPad Pro should be a screamer. A10X? I'd bet we'll also see an iPad focused iOS 10.2 update and maybe even a doubling of RAM for each model.

Anyone actually buying the 7? I ha e an iPhone 6s Plus.. DEFINITLY sitting this one out

I am, likely just the 7 and not the 7+ as much as I'm tempted. I mostly use my phone over my iPad for music apps, so the extra screen space (and that camera) would be really nice. Not sure I want to haul around a bigger phone on my long bike rides though.
