  • ISem is great . What I would describe as a nice creamy sounding synth .Very good with multiple instances in Aum with Fugue Machine feeding different channels..

Best resource/sound balanced synth on iOS. AU to boot. (ISEM)

I haven't bought anything. Waiting for an app to sweep me off my feet though. Loopy 3?

I'm skint, but there are only 2 apps on sale I want or even need, as I have most of them. AD 480 Pro and Korv Hotdog.

Anyone here had much experience with AD 480 Pro. Would it really give me much of an alternative sound wise than AUFX Space or Virsyn AudioReverb?

    If only.

  • This Black Friday, I want to restrain myself and buy just one app. Cause I already have more than enough apps and not enough time to learn/use them all. Still deciding which one I should buy

  • AURIA PRO...WHERE RRRRRR YOU????

  • edited November 2016

Snagged the Scaper bundle (fieldscaper and soundscaper) and also dedalus and moebius for funky sound FX. Grabbed Group The Loop even though I have 3 other looper apps, just cuz I like built in fx. Also grabbed Sparkle. I am done for now, really need to keep saving money for an RV so I can go on my "make a song in every National Park" extended road trip

  • Just went to Walmart and got a 60 inch 4K tv for $310.00. Lovely! I got exactly $100 to spend on auria pro!
Dude I'm waiting! The suspense is killing me!!argjhhz! Eh!!?

  • SilQ
    ApeDelay
    Reverb FDN
    Zmors Modular
    DJ player em

  • I have pretty much all I need at this point, but broke down on a few fronts. Korvpresser, because as a UI designer I love all things klevgr, (it does not disappoint)— I have all the compressors I want on desktop, but this is perfect for the immediacy of iOS. Next Phasemaker, also well designed, and though I dislike FM the dev is tops and I'm always willing to learn. I also bought the audio import IAP for Launchpad— as much a thank you to Novation as anything, but it may get some use. Damn you, time, or I would use you all.

I bought ROTOR today. Looking forward to using something different to break me out of my normal routine.

This is exactly what's happened for me, I bought it on launch, and since then it's almost the only app I play with. It's a complete departure from timeline composing...and inspiring enough that it feels like I'm cheating.

Shipped all my AudioCopy purchases into it, (bulk transfer iTunes) also any .ogg and sf2 I can find.

The loopmaking stuff (iSequence, Tabletop, iMPC Pro) now has a new life feeding loops to it. Glad they lowered the price and brought more people to it. Devs are responsive, and have said IAP with extra objects are in the pipeline

Haven't had a chance to get on it yet, arms can barely close around vast girth of Thanksgiving sausage stuffing bucket that seems to have taken up residence beneath my tshirt, but have high hopes...

Nothing yet. Noticed that Moog Model 15 is universal but I don't know if I can be bothered with another modular and it could be super fiddly on a phone, like gadget.
May pick up Phasemaker now it works on the iPhone. Don't really need it but have both the drum plugins and they sound great, plus the dev seems a good egg.

Don't really understand modulars, but this thing sounds so full of itself...

Bought Fugue Machine and ZMH 1. I'm eyeballing iSem. Anybody have/like it?

Before it went AU I would have encouraged you, after AU I'm urging you with a friendly stick etc.

I really got started a week or so back buying Strom and Blocs Wave. I had been going back & forth on the DDMF 6144 EQ but pulled the trigger on it too , so there's three before "official" start of Thanksgiving/Black Friday...

Then I got Silq EQ, Limiter from Amazing Noises, DM 2 and then Moog Model 15. The first two were steals at a dollar or two and they are really useful. DM 2 & Model 15 were more, especially 15, but so worth it.

Today I got Enkl, RP-1, RF-1 and Phasemaker. It was well worth it, all of the apps I've picked up have been really cool.

  • ^ iSem is a beautiful AU synth, well worth the cash.

Yesterday I got a speeding ticket, so have had to limit my sales purchasing to DM-2 and Zmors Modular.

  • I got DM2..had fun creating a groove...said okay, let's make a song with it in Cubasis...surprisingly worked when I linked it up via IAA...got more inspired added some Phasemaker AU, Tines AU and PPG WaveMapper AU tracks, then suddenly DM2 went silent. I was instantly reminded why I swore off anything but AU. Deleted.

  • Was hoping for a deep dive on the price of LMC but to no avail. Never mind, I can live without it and there's no way I'm dropping £80 on something that I could get bored of after all my tunes end up sounding like The Final Countdown.

Thanks everyone for the input (or poking with a friendly stick.) But AU throws me. Can the app still be used in the conventional Audiobus workflow? Deal breaker for me.

  • Launchpad sound packs
(Not into EDM so lots of hip hop - wish they had vocal packs) to use in blocs

    Bilbao and Dhabi

    iDS10 and Rotor

Would've got audulus and tc-data but I'm tapped out.

@tonappas ready to write reviews (including yours)

  • RP-1 and RF-1 were a couple of pleasant surprises. I needed more AU effects. :)

    Same here.
    Really enjoying these.

  • iVCS3
    ODYSSEi
    Rotor

Just waiting for Drum session and that's me done......

  • Very happy to see a lot of Korg stuff on sale, Bilbao and Module is my choice :)

  • edited November 2016

I have way too many apps for someone who essentially just uses Gadget and some midi controller apps most of the time.

    But I got:

    • couple of launch pad sound packs
    • iVCS3
    • AUFX peak and push (completing my bundle)
    • Phase maker
    • ZMH-1

And I may get Rotor and/or Enkl

I guess I want to get a bit more of a mixed set up going with my new Volca Keys (and PO12 drum machine) - so I could justify it that way.

I'm also considering a Volca Sample. So maybe I'll make some samples for that with the iVCS3

iSEM and the Aurturia synths were some of the first iOS music apps I got, very great purchases, especially iSEM with it's Oberheim goodness.

It absolutely functions in the conventional pre-AU iOS music production workflow of Audiobus or IAA into a DAW, AUM, etc.

AU-Audio Units is Apple's version of Steinbergs VST plugin protocol. VST plugins are Windows/PC based, while Apple has made AU it's platform for desktop/laptop plugins.
iOS music production is now benefiting from AU as it grows within iOS slowly but surely. It's still very early and AudioBus/IAA is the only way to use a great deal of the instrument & effect apps.

AU is growing all the time, (Auria just became a AU host, etc.) iSEM is one of those older apps long used in the AudioBus/IAA the recording process that now has AU functionality. Biggest advantage is being able to use multiple instances of the app on different tracks, etc. You use iSEM with AudioBus, you have to record it down in order to use it more than that occasion if wanting to record/sequence many elements at the same time. With AU, you may use multiple instances of iSEM with the processor maxing out the only thing limiting how many.

I'm sure you knew most of this as do the bulk of the membership, but if there's newer members of the family still adjusting to using iOS as their defacto studio, I'm just trying to help. Be cool...

  • Thanks for that post JRSIV , much appreciated.
Some of us have no grounding in electronic music at all, let alone IOS.

  • Was hoping Kirnu Cream Mobile would go on sale... holding out still
