I was sure I was done ;) but I just nabbed SwarPlug for $1. It only comes with tabla, but it's also AU3, stand alone too, has about 50+ builtin midi loops, tweakable, and you can play it manually via built in keyboard or external midi.

Had a play controlling tabla with TC-Data

I was just playing 3 separate instances of the tabla in 3 AUM channels with RF-1, RP-1, and AUFX:Space on each respective channel with them all being driven by Quincy. Incredible!

Well worth the $1 if you can still get in under the wire.

Close tie to Limiter for the best $1 I've spent in a week. ;)

Geoshred looks fun, but as I'm not really a "player"... I'm thinking it would be a waste on me. And I find Thumbjam mostly suffices plenty, and now with TC-Data, I can't imagine Geoshred getting me any further down the road. Hell, if lil' ol' Bebot had midi control, it'd pretty much be all I needed. :)

Same feelings here. Decided to hold off on buying it until I improve my playing skills using the apps I already own: Thumbjam and Synthecaster. The latter one is a bit similar to Geoshred when used as a MIDI controller and costs just $1 - awesome little app

I totally forgot about Synthecaster! One of the first I ever bought. You're right, that one is awesome and an excellent value. Need to dig that back up now that I've at least got barely a clue now. ;)

    Doubleplus for Swarplug. Great value!

Jumped on. Added the 3 Voices pack also. Seems a winner. Thanks for the tip Skip.

Just bought SwarPlug. I hadn't heard of Quincy either. It looks awesome!

  • I just bought Reaktor 6 for $99.50, i downloaded no less than seven separate manuals from the NI site. I like to read though.

Like you I'm in no rush on the KORG stuff (they have plenty of my money already), yet Odyssei does look good :) Also tempted by the new Gadgets. In the short term I'm thinking about midiSequencer, Aftertouch, and TC-11. I wonder if TC-Data will follow in the footsteps of TC-11 and get the universal treatment? Being able to control all these synths with it from an iPhone would be awesome!

I got confirmation from the dev via twitter that TC-Data was going universal very soon and would also have multi-panes and split screen like TC-11 (which I have and love). :)

Thought about midisequencer mostly for iPhone5. Just the lite version, but the controls are so very tiny that it was barely useable for me. For iPad sequencing I have Genome and like it.

Thanks for the update, very tempted to add TC-Data to the fold right now :)

Hmm, wonder how you'd fair with midiSequencer on a bigger iPhone, once you go Plus you can't go back! It does look a little fiddly regardless (Not a fan of the IAPs for features a la cart either, maybe that should've been done in the 'lite' version, and have the pay one charge a cart blanche price, yep decided, removing from list). Now if modstep found a way to fit that would probably be the ticket. Aftertouch's main draw is that is takes advantage of the 3D Touch on the 6s/7 iPhones. Not aware of much else that does that except for the ROLI apps.

  • I bought RF-1, which is nice and this delay which is fantastic:

    Replika XT
    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/effects/replika-xt/

I'm a big fan of delays, Valhalla 'Ubermod' in particular and this one is unique indeed.

  • Said I was done after the weekend but always wanted iM1 and thought if the Korg's are still on sale I'd think on it...they're still on sale and my finger hit buy & entered my Apple ID PW by mistake...at least that's the story for the wife...

I can't even remember off hand everything from the sales...Limiter for $.99 is insane & the Moog Model 15 amazes me everytime I open it. Great sales and really cool for the community at large.

Kinda wish all the sales would be over already. I'm nursing a serious Black Friday + Cyber week hangover ;)

Still, I can't think of any of these I regret buying. Not too sure about rrarrow, because I haven't figured out how to make it create sound that doesn't make me want to stab my ears out with a rusty knife. But, as Phawuo was included a $2 bundle with rrarrow, I figured it was worth the gamble. Might have to crack a tutorial on that one to see if it's really supposed to sound that offensive. It's an interesting and strange interface puzzle that might be fun to try and figure out.

    Quincy
    3X Launchpad Packs
    Moog Model 15
    iVCS3
    Phasemaker
    Photophor
    Phawuo
    rrarrow
    76 Synthesizer
    Dedalus
    Limiter
    zMors EQ
    TC-Data
    iSEM
    Audulous 3
    SwarPlug
    RF-1
    RP-1

    They're right.

Heh, well... for $2 bundle (the price of a small Starbucks coffee) I got an interesting little primitive modular app and a very strange, noisy synth that morphs several noises together to make some very offensive alien sounds... that I can drive via midi. I wish the dev had put a background audio button on Phawuo, but loading it up in AUM or AB works just as well.

They're kinda like BitWiz in a way... weird and fun to kind of tinker with, though it's best to play with the volume fairly low and without headphones on if you don't want to take another hit to your high-freq hearing loss. ;)

    Update:
I sent an email to the dev asking about 3D Touch. Turns out TC-11 already has a force controller!
This is also coming to TC-Data when it goes universal :)

@MonzoPro Just read all the comments from users of Audulus on the discchord page talking about it's launch last year. By the user comments, sounds more daunting that I thought it was.

Also, I didn't realize this is one of those apps that dev releases a first version of, then you have to re-buy for each version. Those who bought the first Audulus, evidently had to buy it all over again for V2, then all over once again for V3.

Makes me wonder if Audulus V3 is at the end of it's product cycle and it's on sale because they're going to release a completely new Audulus V4 version soonish?

    http://discchord.com/blog/2015/12/8/audulus-30.html

Could be. Not too bothered about the new version thing though, as there's a shed load of work gone into the app and it's good value.

Just watched a few more vids though and not sure if I'd have the time to put into it to do it justice. I've got so many apps that deserve more attention (Gadget, TC-11 etc.) that I think it'd get lost in belly fluff.
