I love the mutation feature - really good. Noticed that when I use the 'fold' knob now though, the volume suddenly jumps. Can't remember it doing this before.
I don't recall touching the fold feature in the update but I'll have a look. Thanks for pointing it out!
No problem, thanks for the update!
Looks like an AS issue then.
PS - I export to AS and then ACP into FLMS from AS. There is no direct import to FLMS yet so I don't think FLMS is the issue.
Yep, I've got big volume changes with the fold knob
done!!
Ok.. I see what's happening with the fold knob. Typical case of "fix one thing, break something else" :-0
Fix coming up shortly!
At least under iOS10.2 the files exported from Troublemaker show up as .wav in Audioshare...
Could the .caf thing be a bug in previous iOS versions???
I'm on 10.2 both phone and iPad. The files have an.wav extension but the info under the waveform window in AS shows the file as CAF. This not happening for you Samu?
Also, I have to do a conversion in AS before I can ACP into FLSM or I get a garbage file.
Nope, for me they are proper wav files, Air 2, iOS10.2.
Weird...
Yes, it's a weird thing. I'm using iOS's own media file export and conversion API to be optimally compatible with anything so it could be they fixed something in their libraries between iOS versions.
Simple suggestion: mutation parameter into knobs, scrollable.
Is Apple aware of the 'issue' ???
Seems like they (folxs at Apple) don't use their own devices enough to find these types of issues...
Now my Troublemaker exports show up as caf argjhhhhhhhh!
I'll look into it a little more and get back to you.
My review left @brambos
Ps wondered about the fold function too... glad someone else spoke up first!
Thanks, I'll also have a look, but I just checked on my Mac with Audacity and it says it's a normal RIFF Wav file, as it should be.
So perhaps it's only some kind of label inside iOS which is ignored by anyone except Audioshare? Puzzling.
Yes, it turns out it wasn't actually the fold effect itself... the overall volume levels were a bit lower, making the fold stand out more.
1.1.1 is on its way to fix it right away (I wish there was a fast-lane review system at Apple for minor updates).
Now that's what I call good support!
@brambos
Beautiful app
any chance to have the delay and fold buttons to be controlled from side to side? as I run out of space at the top of the screen,if I go from off,to full.
cheers.
Finally got round to picking this up. Troublemaker and Aleph Looper on the go is a wonderful thing. MIDI exports/imports seamlessly.
Do wish I could also load Ruismaker as IAA though! I much prefer IAA to AU for iPhone work and Aleph doesn't yet support AU either.
Just noticed that Audioshare has not been updated in slight over one year...
Wonder if the 'caf' issue has something to do with that?
That's what I was thinking. TM files work as expected everywhere else.
here is a quick and dirty jam using elastic drums with troublemaker... goes a bit crazy at the end... I was dancing like a madman!
the first of 4 ready to go....
I do know the song, but it was far from my conscious mind when doing this, it just sort of came together on it's own
Some things just work, don't they? Deriving from a common, possibly sub-conscious wellspring.
I'm sure I'm being really thick, but is the mutator supposed to change the pattern every time I touch one of the 3 values in it? I'm not quite sure if it's separate to the random and variation functions or not, and just pressing mutator without altering the values doesn't do anything. I'm clearly being a fool here, but want to know exactly how!
The 'playback' changes, pattern view stays the same.
At least that's my observation.
That is correct.
Say, you have all three settings set to 10%...
I still need to update the manual, but haven't had the time yet...
it gives it a probability,so it basically the higher percentage you give it,it has more chance of a bit of variation.
whilst keeping the same pattern.
or have I lost the plot here?
I love the mutations and would love a "FREEZE SUCKA" button that would, erm, you know, freeze everything from mutating any further as soon as you heard something you like...
