  • Has it been announced, if the screenshots etc. were the actual announcement, or can we expect a more extensive announcement with all the details?

  • There will be a further announcement announcing future announcements at some unspecified time in the future.

  • I have a feeling that a more proper announcement will come with more details.

I've been 'drawing waves' in Renoise just for the fun of it and wish it will be possible to do that with BM3 too.
(It's also quite hand to 'paint away' clicks and pops in samples). Finger-painting is more fun that using the mouse.

Simplest form would be to start the sample/instrument-editor, create a blank canvas with # number of samples, loop it, paint a wave to use as an 'oscillator(s)' and feed them thru pitch, filter and amp envelopes and finally pass it thru some effects.

Time will tell what we'll see and finally get :)

To any future announcements promising future announcements, I respond with this response, promising future responses.

Meanwhile seeing the screenshots it would seem that the leap from 2 to 3 will be as amazing as the leap from 1 to 2 (anyone here used the first one?)

Nope, I never got that one because I was not into music-apps in the beginning of iOS...
After I got my first iPad I started to grow an interest in iOS music apps and ended up becoming an app-a-holic and got plenty of apps for both iPhone and iPad but thankfully I'm now recovering from the 'bad habit' :D

"Recovering from the "bad habit"" How is that possible and participating on this forum?
Do you have any self help books or some golden nuggets of wisdom you can pass along to us still hooked by acquisitions? :)

Well, I started with removing my credit card info from the AppStore so I only use 'gift-cards' as it gives me at least a bit better control over how much I eventually spend on apps :)

Will be there a special deal or package for cx who have already purchased BM2?
    (for example BM2 + BM3 for 25 $)

    P.S.
I promise future responses instead of simple responses in case of promised or even unpromised future announcements of announcements in the future.

  • The promised app. Anyone subscribing to the N+C=B theory?

Sounds like a good idea. Seems everywhere one shops though has the iTunes cards readily available that's a constant temptation..it's quite a racket! :D

I cannot wait to see the sampler & sequencer modules.

From what I've analysed they've taken the best from all the apps.

    Group layout from Maschine (desktop)
    Pad performance from iMaschine
    Macros from Ableton (& Maschine)
    Scales & Chords.
What else can you wish for?

Well, we can all wish that it will work as 'advertised' and maybe even exceed our expectations ;)

  • Wish for Geist2 instant sampling <3

  • As I've understood it, it will be possible to do live sampling and also live re-sampling of stuff that is already playing.
I can't wait to get my fingers on it :D

'good things come to those who get there first!'

    Patterning features

  • Import samples/programs from AKAI CD/ISO-Files ;)

Too bad Apple dumped the AKAI Import Feature from ESX24 in Logic Pro X as it would have made it easier to extract the samples as *.wav from the CD-Images that I have...
(Sampler in Ableton Live Suite and NI Kontakt appear to do seamless import from AKAI ISO's but I don't feel like purchasing them right now).

  • Anyway... I don't think we'll see an announcement today either.
Oh well, one can only hope.

  • edited January 2017

Might be hard to trust anything date-related in the announcement when they can't even keep to their own schedule of a simple announcement 'next week'?

  • edited January 2017

    dbl pst

  • The danger of the Web is that you can go from idea to public announcement in under ten minutes. (Seth Godin)

    what is instant sampling?

Meaning you press the sample button and when you press a pad , the sound is being recorded to the specific pad. (No stupid interactions like naming, setting location etc) . Only Korg microsampler (hardware) was able to do that.

This might be something @mathieugarcia might be interested in implementing unless it's already there in BM3?
