BeatMaker 3 : Features !

Hey everyone !

We're happy to share with you more details about BeatMaker 3 here: intua.net
Since the announcement was delayed a bit, we decided to give out a more exhaustive feature list.

BeatMaker 3 will be available around Q2 2017; in the meantime we'd be happy to interact with the community !

Have a nice day,
Cheers,
Mathieu.

  • Holy smokes Batman! That's some neat feature set! AUv3 + Sampler on the same pad? TAKE MY MONEY NOW!

  • Looking good so far. How about some timeline screenshots?

  • They probably finished the pad stuff and engine and now tweaking the sequencer & stuff... probably that's why they didn't included the rest and extended the release to Q2.

Anyway, I'm sure that it's not vaporware now :))

It literally makes iMPC Pro feel like a toy (which it is if you look at the mixer & fx)

  • Here is my link for the contest. Just saying. http://intua.net/?mwr=3100-6cd874d0

Also @mathieugarcia What is the install size? Just curious.

  • Looks good, but , Q2, that's anywhere from 1-4 months away. Damn , waiting is a killer

  • @gmslayton Not sure yet, 100 MB tops, but probably less !

  • @mathieugarcia Awesome. I use BM2 on occasion and would use it more but the install size is so large that it fights for space with other apps and looses often. hehe

  • Let's hope Q2 is a safe bet release date and maybe they'll surprise us :))
    Anyway.. sounds awesome

    Better safe than sorry! :-)

  • It is Geist2 on iOS! Thank you Intua ! Any info for the price @mathieugarcia ?

  • It says exclusiv in the app store for iPhone, iPad and iPodTouch.....does that mean there will no macOS version (like promised a while ago). Would love to have a crossplatform experience here.
So far it reads and looks good. Especially the sampler.
Question, which kind of data files can the sampler read? Any chance for ESX24 support f.e.?

  • edited January 2017

Q2 really? That's even a longer shot than your previous "by the end of the year" from the end of August 2016. The hype is dead.

PS: get me on the gamma testing team... please!

  • 64 pad mode, lockable to scale? My dream control situation!

    That is cool. Size matters.
(Seriously, it's one of the first things I check now)

We've got a macOS version coming after the initial iOS release. More on that on a later post !
Right now the sampler reads anything WAVE/AIFF. We're thinking of having a companion app
for file format conversions to BM3.

    Cheers !
    Mathieu.

Audio software design/development is not an easy task, especially with complex apps like BeatMaker 3. While I understand it can be a bit disappointing for you, it's best to release a well polished app that was not rushed on the market.

    Cheers,
    Mathieu.

    Yes !

  • What about Soundfonts? Can the sampler read sf2 or sfz format?

  • What about the mixer view

I know, I know and I appreciate it. I'm just saying I personally prefer surprises to the endless teasing.

With any luck most of us will still be alive by then and those impatient guys will be happy you polished the beast properly etc...

  • @mathieugarcia that's an extensive list of features and I appreciate you taking your time to make sure they work as expected. This will be an app you can really invest your time to learn and anticipate being very happy to have done so.

  • It seems the new Beatmaker will be like FL Studio on steroids. Good!

  • Will be very good when it releases, can't wait!

  • Only thing I'm puzzled about is... Do we really need to layer sampler and AUv3 on the same pad??? ;)

@mathieugarcia I'm also very interested in this since I have a gigantic soundfont collection. Quite frankly, I dislike Bismark, because I can't physically store more than four soundfonts at a time on it and have to link my iPad up to my PC each time I want to switch out a Soundfont rather than have all of my soundfonts stored in Bismark's folder system all at once. (At least, this is what I remember from a year ago. Maybe I'm wrong now?)

Thanks a bunch, that means a lot !

It's pretty neat with resampling :hint: :hint: :)

We're thinking of having a companion app for converting formats. And not just only SF2? We'll see :-)
