Some decent midi out would be amazing for this app. Would really open up its possibilities.
Seems like there would be two elements to this:
send piano roll notes out as midi (instead of to the internal synth)
allow the dials to send Midi cc values out
(- and maybe a wildcard midi button - that you can set to do whatever you like e.g. Send a note value or a cc as a toggle or momentary button).
This would make KRFT your ultimate live playing surface. Allowing it to control other apps in the background or on a PC or hardware. Presumably this would make it very attractive to the desktop crowd. Which opens up a whole new, big and lucrative market.
Is my big wish list for this app.
Definitely, MIDI out would take this to a whole new level.
The reason I keep playing with this app is the unique UI - it's just fun triggering and controlling loops and fills, and creating them is a piece of cake.
Could be the app of the year this one.
Yes the new update is really good, have been testing it out, look forward to where this one goes. With Link it plays really well with other apps now too, lots of fun.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
This completely nails it. I play a very different music style than @Matt_Fletcher_2000 but our wish lists for this app are identical. Love that these devs are paying attention!
It's the best music sequencer of all time and it's only 20 dollars. It has crappy built in sounds though. Just get it and study it for your future app endeavors. Things to notice: replacing previously recorded notes in a loop live by simply playing over it. The different quantize settings combined with various types of gestures on the xy pad. The legato/mono synth playing style that results from the touches on the xy pad. And finally, the easily accessible save vs overwrite system for all the loops and the loop list functions
I know what ikaossilator is, I have had it for years. I just wondered what "did they put a better version of the ikaossilator x/y pad midi note controller in the app yet?" meant.
@Alex fox in that case I have no idea! Sorry! Maybe @kobamoto will be along to explain
Loving this app after 10 minutes.
Am i being stupid, i just want 1 dail to control 1 drum loop. When i add a dial it controls all drum loops.
Hope i make sense, hope its me missing something
That's why I really like Haq's video it showed how to create a new instrument. In your case a new drum instrument so that new dial will interact with the last drum you created. I think. Will try myself![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

Nice one works a treat
Now i really love this app !!!
Once this gets on the bus, link, iaa and fingers crossed for ableton export and sample import
This is a lot if fun..
Nice work dev
Yup. Was enjoying it a lot, but decided to just put it down until the sample import let me start making it sound like me rather than it. Have been collecting a folder full and am really looking forward to the release...
General please be patient, your request will be fulfilled shortly!![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Me. Developer trying to get some sleep in England
You have to add another drum track with another colour. The dials work on the colour of the track.
Yes please, we can always add but you can't take away.....
yes +1 - simple, cleaner, saw, square, sine phat juicy basses.
Wait, you can't change the color of the ——
OH MY GOD. IT'S FULL OF STARS....
We really need Surface sharing pleasssssse?
I'm not as creative as all this amazing musicians here so midi out and Surface sharing please?????
Ok ok, in 1.3!
@Alex fox you rock man!!!
I still stand by:
"KRFT- Most Innovative and Creative Music Creation App of 2017".
Period.
It's going to be a tough one to beat, that's for sure.
I've been beta testing this for the last few months. After the initial 'meh' moment with latest additions this is looking much more like a usable proposition. Sample import and ableton link took it a whole new level in the right direction.
I think it's much better than iKaosilator personallly.
I like it because you can play / control a whole song from one screen.
I just want more expressiveness and variation in the loops via some kind of 'active step' type functionality.
Plus midi out for obvious reasons.
Then it's pretty perfect.
By the way I love the pre-quantised keyboard. It just makes my playing sound so much more... in time!
Edit: oh and the ability to access/play from more than one surface at a time would simply amazing for performing a whole set of songs.
KRFT and Gadget are my number 1 'get a track made' apps out there at the moment.
I've made about 4 ok-ish tracks in KRFT on my phone in the last couple of weeks. And that's considering I've had almost no spare time music making.
Really looking forward to the update.
(And of course the Gadget update
)
Once KRFT gets midi out surely it's only a matter of time until we see some top artist use this to jam live on stage don't you think @Alex fox ?
Lots of apps are better than iKaossilator in many ways, but none of them have the live "one touch at a time, note replace, gesture recording" thing for melodies, etc. That's the special sauce. But KRFT is most definitely awesome. You really can just fill up the screen with loops and find a way to perform them into something coherent.
OK, now I know we are on the same page.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Yep. And unlike Launchpad, Loopy etc... you can change the loops at any time since they are midi not audio. Something I think the app should make much more of in the future
.
It would become the ultimate multi-track midi sequencer - a hardware sequencer killer.
I would probably just point it at multiple midi tracks in Gadget and they'd have beautiful babies. (On a freaking iPhone)
Amazing!!!
Can you explain how this works? It's the one piece of the whole experience that has confounded me. I keep pounding on the pads and "missing" with the timing of the notes and have to go and fix in the piano roll.
