What I've done was to 'dig out' all the sounds from all the drum/music apps I've bought over the years so I can easily use them in my favourite drum/sampler apps when needed.
(Current favourite and still available drum-apps are Patterning and Elastic Drums).

Can you give a brief explanation how you do that with both apps. Thanks!!

    It's super easy really...

Locate the apps *.ipa file on your computer (Usually in the Mobile Applications folder in your iTunes folder).
Copy the *.ipa file and rename it to *.zip
    Extract the *.zip file.
Inside the archive you'll find a 'Payload' folder and in there is the 'bundle/folder' with the app.

On the Mac It's just a matter of control-click and 'Show Package Content' on Windows just browse inside the folder and dig out all the samples you can find.

The above method is really in the 'grey zone' since some apps may include IAPs and 'other' apps that are needed for 'unlock' but are not encrypted in any way inside the package. Some 'free' apps contain a surprising amount of Samples that might not be obvious from the start. Try TableTop for starters ;)

But, I firmly believe that companies should have their policies questioned. We question our societies politics on a regular basis. We question our own beliefs. It's about balence - say yes, we like that....and say no, we don't like that.

Spot on. We're turning into a World of put up and shut up. Buy, and be grateful we're allowing you to purchase our special things.

Strange times, it's not always been this way....hopefully it's a blip and not a sign of worse things to come.

I know this thread a little old but wanted to chime in with a glimmer of hope (for some).

I have an old iPad 2 still on iOS7 as I was using a lot of music apps and just knew that any future updates would bork it!
I had the same described problem (!) when I bought an additional iPad Mini 2 for newer iOS 10+ apps.
I kept my iPad 2 purely because it still had Diode and Alchemy synth on it!

Anyways, to my point. I have successfully managed to pull the IPA files from the iPad 2 and install both on to the IPad Mini 2 (iOS 11)!

To do this I used two Mac software: iFunbox to extract from the iPad 2 and iMazing 2 to install onto the mini. This morning's endeavour is like Xmas morning!

I'm heading to work now but I'll try and put together and post a video for any of you who still have it on an old device.

    Cheers
