  • Midi out to control other synths would be great, and sounds like it's in the works.

Haven't seen anyone else mention the proffered audio stems. I would like the ability to save multiple tracks for later use in a DAW. So a big thumbs up for audio stems @Alex fox :sunglasses:

    Great work on KRFT. :)
    Midi out would be awesome.

Check out Beatsurfing by Hermutt Lobby. Having that kind of control combined with KRFT would be amazing in one app to design a composing space. Being able to use custom Graphics would be my ideal way this could be implemented.

  • I'm creating stems right now using IAA in AUM. It's a little laborious, but I like that KRFT prevents me from being too prescriptive with my tracks.

I personally love that KRFT urges the creator to enjoy the journey rather than fixate on a product. We will all be wandering minstrels again in short time, albeit armed with iPhones instead of lutes.

    Would love:

    • being able to copy surfaces from one device to another
    • midi out
    • active-step type mashing of the piano roll sequence, controlled by a widget on the performance surface

(Note my new number 1 request :) )

/\ /\/\ that sounds wildly awesome. Can we get the ability to define and loop a certain part of our loops first? That seems simple-ish and really really useful.

This is/would be a very large plus for me.

  • How about Choke Groups for 'Audio'?

You could allow users the option of manually choosing siblings so different instrument sounds and audio could utilize the solo function according to siblings.

Only one 'sample' will play at a time in that group.. Say you imported two or three sliced variations of a bassline for example (from Bloc), only one can play at a time..

Edit.. Basically from 1:45 in the video..

    • being able to copy surfaces from one device to another

just putting a proof of concept around this... one issue is around imported samples. might have to roll with "imported samples will need to be reimported" initially to keep it simple.

    • midi out

definitely awesome. definitely will require a bit of under-the-hood surgery. do u have examples of apps that do it well. would like to support external gear too.

    • active-step type mashing of the piano roll sequence, controlled by a widget on the performance surface

    yes this is awesome.

  • GeoShred does midi out quite well but haven't tried multichannel.
Cubasis does midi out extremely well. I've had it sending up to 16 midi out channels to Roland SC app all different instruments all sounding awesome!!

Unless I'm misunderstanding, this can already be done. When creating an audio cell, just choose to put it on the same audio channel that the other audio cell is using, as opposed to creating a different channel, and select solo for both mix modes. But i do realize sharing the same audio channel has it's compromises, like if you don't wish to use the same fx on both sources.

I figured it out after I posted... (Embarrassed)

    my bad..

  • Wow made a weird but cool discovery!!! While testing KRFT on my iPad I loaded a difference surface on my iPhone guess what? The tempo adjusted to the one on my iPhone!! But the weirdest part is that I could remotely control the tempo of the surface playing on my iPad from the one on the iPhone!!! Remotely!!!! How is that possible @Alex fox did I uncover a hidden feature?

Isn't that hidden treasure called Link?

that's how link works - any devices on the same network will sync up to LINK

  • I think you just blew @Musikman4Christ 's mind.

It will take 30 years for him to recover.. ;)
When he do, we will be already making music by our brain waves..
And yet the same question " how is that possible??"
    Link, baby..;)
    "Deja vu?"

    *no offense, you're guru.

That's why I won't buy Apps that do not support LINK....

Now, if only we can get FL Studio to support LINK as Ableton does.... Musical heaven...

  • Work in Progress..

  • How exactly does the audio import work? Can you create drum kits? Or can you only import loops? If it's only loops, can you slice them or remix them in any way?

    Couldn't find details on this.

  • Did more searching, it appears the audio import is just for clip launching? Like Launchpad?

Is it that basic, or is there more to it?

That is where it is at now but they did say a sampler/slicer is in the future.
