Ok everyone time to take out that second mortgage if you have to!!! :D :o

You're joking but some comments on social media are asking/complaining that it is not a free upgrade. smh. I wish we could send them via a time machine to 1984:)

Groovemaker that is painfully underfeatured compared to Bm3 comes to 15$ after you get the synth iap. So 20$ is not too high to be honest. I'll gladly pay it at launch.

have you played groove maker lately, it has features no other app has.... but I agree that BM3s price is definitely worth it if it works.

er. what features ? the random melody ? ripplemaker has that. pretty easy to get it into modstep too. just generate a pattern in a selected scale. make some variations. and voila you have the beginings of a track.

can beatmaker 3 sample straight into one of the pads? Then be edited?

    Yep, thats the idea.

Yes, either from external inputs or internally (resampling).

Just to add to the hype(and note to those on beta if you missed it), beta now has some iaps on it that you can "buy" for free. Aaand they sound really great :P Usually this sort of soundbanks for me are mostly filled with sounds i dont like with few good ones. What i tested on this, they all were good, most really great or better, with only a few that didnt do it for me.

  • Any info on iap's including costs?

  • edited June 2017

Q2 is long this year I guess... who bet on a last minute delay ?

PS: and when will you confirm a date for the alreadyannounced teasing vid ?

  • Seen some good prices on first gen 12.9 pros. Might get even better after gen2 drop. If this app is as good as I hope it is, might be iPad Pro time

  • With an iPad Pro and the right midi controller and audio interface, I think it's a MPC Live or MPC X killer.

yes exactly, already got a great focusrite inerface. Midi controller is sorted too (keystep). Pad controller would be nice but don't really need it tbh.

but isn't that like saying with the right audio interface and right midi controller that the mpc live is an beatmaker killer?

  • edited June 2017

I think intua should have charged twice as much though.
no let me rephrase that I'm happy for the price but I think it's worth more.

  • @gmslayton said:
So what's your guys opinion on the best midi controller to use with BM3?

I've been checking out vids of the irig pad controller again today, I used to have one for a day or so and have completely forgotten what I thought about it and I'm a little interested again.

7 day intro price is a smart move, I'm pretty sure I don't need it but it's close to my birthday and --inevitable string of self justifications deleted--

Im definitely eyeing that MPD218 for bm3. Will make a nice companion with the new 10.5 Pro.

Prices are listed on beta, but beta testers cant share this sort of details of the app, and the prices might not be final, so.. But CURRENTLY they arent too expensive imo, not the cheapest either, worth the price imo, more than the few beathawk iaps i bought(which kinda regret).

Please tell me functionality isn't hidden behind IAP. Soundpacks I don't mind but would rather not have to buy features piecemeal.
