Oh yes, we got Volca already now but thank you ✌️😊

  • This update news pushed me over the top to get octachron last night.

This is my pitch for the feature request to be able to change patterns by incoming MIDI notes in the AUV3 version.

This is a feature similar to that of hammerhead & some other drum apps & it’s a fabulous feature to have.

Thank so much for making an interesting set of tools!

    @senhorlampada , great thx!

And another question to everybody ! 😊

Are you generally also very interested in MIDI mapping presets for desktop apps like eg Reason Kong or others?
And if yes, for which desktop apps especially?
    Or not so much?

Thanks a lot for your support again! ✌️🙂

I’m definitely interested. I’d like to use Octachron with an Ableton drum rack, for example.

  • Wouldn’t it be nice being able to skip/activate notes, retrigger notes (Euclidean style depending on note length) etc. It’s possible in f.e. Bitwig and would be so nice for programming patterns while on the road.

I would absolutely LOVE a sequencer on iOS that had the depth and flexibility of Bitwig operators. AFACT, not even Drambo comes close to that level of conditional logic.

Probability is a great thing to have, but to be able to follow up with things like “trigger only if this event occurs”… That’s a tent pole feature.

Maybe I'm wrong, but doesn't Drambo already does this in the 'Extended Step Seq Editor'... With the COMP feature?

  • Hey everybody!

Thx a lot for your suggestions. We will definitely put them on our (quite long) list. So the next update is our up to 16 track version with some new mappings.
So if you still got some more mappings for us, we would definitely appreciate that 😊

Best greetings from Sunny Munich ✌️ Tas

GR16 has trigger conditions types ( probability, trigger only if... etc).

  • @TasTax sorry I didn't respond on desktop.
My desktop is used to a bare minimum. So for me I would say the mappings wouldn't matter
I only use Reason and Ableton free versions (and mostly to get things exported from ios)
And reaper is what I actually use for tracking/editing/arrranging faster than I do on the iPad
VCV was a go-to before miRack

So yep. I wouldn't care too much
I know there are some heavy desktop users around, but couldn't name who they are

I take back my Drambo comment, I haven’t been using that part of the sequencer, and forgot it can do those things.

I would absolutely love it if more iOS sequencers had that functionality. I know GR-16 has trigger conditions as well, but for me the hardware style interface feels too fiddly.

Fractal Bits spreads the 12 sounds across the entire 127 note range with octave shifted versions of the sounds :sunglasses:
(So in practice it could be fun to have ‘octave shift’ as a parameter that can be automated per step).

I'm a sunvox dummy, but since you are the expert, isn't it the same with SunVox DrumSynth too?

Yep, sad to know what Jim Audio (GR-16) is going through… A hit for the iOS music community..
    Wish him God’s protection..

  • Been waiting for this!

You have the 909, 707 and the 808 covered?

Can we make our own maps - and share them

  • Beathawk map would be nice.

Nope it’s not the same unfortunately.
Fractal Bits creates samples using ‘algorithms’ not currently present in SunVox.
You can export a Fractal Bits kit as a SunVox project.

Who knows, maybe the dev will add it to SunVox 3.0 or something!?

    Hey @NTKK ,

Glad you like our initiative 🙂 And yes, we were thinking about a sharing function, but it turned out more difficult than we expected. That’s why I started this callout to share here and put it in Octachron.
And no, we haven’t covered them yet, so if you can post them we would really love to put them in our presets ✌️

Thx so much and I talked to Markus and we agreed that really all of the app presets you mentioned could be really interesting. So if you could also post them, that would be really great! 😊

Oh... I meant more regarding the octave shift. But I do like how you think
I already like how you can export stuff from some of his apps into Sunvox. But the more integration the better
