Logic Pro X and FCPX rumoured to get iPad OS versions
Logic Pro X and FCPX rumoured to get iPad OS versions what I understand the apps will subscription based.
Comments
None of the Apple products I know of are subscription-based except for music, movies, the new News+, etc. I'm talking about standalone "products" - most of which are free including macOS, iOS, GB, iLife apps, iWork apps, etc. Apple doesn't need to offer LPX and FCPX on subscription basis on iOS when they are buy-once on desktop.
From whence the rumor?
As for now apple never participated in this subscription shit
Apple are bringing out an app rental product but it looked more game focused. There’s no reason they couldn’t include a version of logic in it though.
Hi what is FCPX?
Final Cut Pro x (video editor)
@BiancaNeve ok cool no kissing thanks haha
For what its worth, Apple is looking to go all in on gaming subscription very soon. So I could see them doing something similar for “creative Pro” subscription for audio and video. Who knows.
Not sure why we are even discussing this... haven’t seen any of these rumors yet. Anyone have links to articles?
These are heavy Pro programs that compete with Adobe and Adobe also uses subscription. Besides that Apple seems to heavy promote subscription based apps because it guarantees in steady income flux compared to one off based apps.
With the new iPad OS launching in a few months these apps could hook Pros that are seeming move more and more to Windows based computers.
Recall that this rumors also popped up a year ago on twitter. And as with most rumors it stayed a rumor
You are witnessing it's very birth. Fantastic isn't it?
You claim to have the dish but where’s the sauce?
Please state the source, it’s highly improbable -if not impossible- in my opinion.
@greengrocer you already started such a thread some months ago https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/28336/exclusive-apple-ipad-pro-12-9-2018-images-specs-leaked-ahead-of-company-s-september-12-launch#latest
Are you fake-newsing us again ?
Thanks for that, now I see it’s the same nonsense again...
Cite sources.
What we'll likely see is a 'Souped up GarageBand' and new 'Control Surface/Remote App' for LPX with some touch-editing.
(I mean GarageBand needs an update to support the new features in iOS13).
What a load of cobblers...
Hope this sort of thing isn’t the beginning of something on this forum . Moderators should just can it as “made up”.
Logic Pro now rumored to be developed by Martians.
Just stop believing...
And Half Life 3 too
Ha!
God damn Gabe Newall....
Apparently X Code in ios ipad 14 so who knows what that means to Pro Apps.
Not sure I understand the connection between Xcode coming to iOS / iPadOS and Pro Apps coming to iOS / iPadOS..
But sounds exciting!
Beats me, but here is a bit more perspective / details of X Code on iOS.
https://appleinsider.com/articles/20/04/20/xcode-may-be-coming-to-the-iphone-and-ipad-very-soon
Thanks Gus!
Looks like the appleinsider guys also struggle to see a connection between Xcode and Pro Apps:
„It's not clear how a full version of XCode for iOS and iPadOS leads to "Pro" applications on iPad. Given development for the platforms via a Mac already exists, it would be more prudent to consider the addition as making it easier for people to produce apps in the first place.“
Seems like Jon Prosser knows more about it.
It is huge if it’s true. But I will believe it when I see it.
Yeah. If this happens, I may not need a Macbook after all. I'd get an iPad Pro (lol).
This is really good news if true, but nothing to do with Logic Pro/ final cut etc...just you won't need a Mac to develop for ipad, which opens up a lot of untapped people who might want to.
I'm thinking the same. Maybe their advertising is working..
