I'm very excited for that one. I'm getting nothing but glitched verbs from it though. changing the block size just changes the rate of the glitches. Might be because I'm using an older ipad, but it says it's using 1% cpu. anyone else running into problems with the NYSTHI Convolvzilla?

Could be lack of CPU power or, maybe, a convolution algorithm that needs optimization.
Have you tried different combinations of block size and miRack audio buffer settings?
I had crackle fest on a rather fast iPad 2018 too, until I reduced (!) miRack's audio buffer from 1024 to 512 samples. Now it works with all block sizes, using short IRs.

hmm thanks for the tip, but it still does it at 512, no matter the block size.

OK, what model is your iPad? Tried a reboot already?
It runs fine with IR "Batcave" at block size 256 and miRack audio buffer 256 on an older iPad Mini 2. Tried with a simple snare drum module.

  • It seems to have problems if Convolzilla buffer is smaller than miRack buffer. Can you try adjusting both so that the module buffer is the same or bigger than miRack audio buffer?

is there a list for modules which use separate audio buffers? might be handy to mark/tag these ones somehow? i assume you can't program mirack to auto adjust the module buffer size to mirack?

Confirmed on both iDevices, iOS 12.3.1.

  • @mifki another minor issue: Nysthi "BIGBUTTON" will take fast consecutive taps as double-tap and trigger only once instead of twice.
Hitting at two different positions in fast succession on the same pad works, that's how I found out.

They normally don't. But as I mentioned, there's a few unusual techniques employed in NYSTHI, but as it's closed-source, I don't know what exactly is the problem in each case and where else it might be. Actually, we noticed and disabled some options already, once we have a list what else can be improved, I'll pass it on to Antonio.

  • Are there any modules yet that change pitch of a sound?

  • Crackle fest in nysthi using jira jira echo, no matter what miRack buffer I use. Is a patch that goes at about 20%. Lastest beta, iOS 12.4 iPad Pro 10,5 2017.
Changing the device to nysthi NYechoecho working fine with no crackles.

ITOH, could be posible to get more cable colours?

Thanks @mifki for the excelent work!!!

I've not seen any but you can emulate old-school pitched-tiny-slices-crossfading using the Nysthi modules.

yes, I've tried all configurations. Just made a quick screengrab for you to see. Fresh restart on ipad, nothing else running in the background:

Yes. Pitch shifter. Under ‘tags’ > ‘effect’ > STKPitchShifter - NYSTHI

Wow. These NYSTHI modules are simply fantastic.

Aaaah what a relief to see this.
Will zooming be supported in the browser modules view?

    Nice

  • Those new Geodesic modules are a work of art - gotta be one of the most interesting UI designs I’ve seen.
Reminds me of the eclectic Folktek stuff , at least in form.

Quite a lot for a modular noob like myself to get my head around,
but Omri Cohen’s tutorial series is an excellent jump start:

Awesome! Any plans for a text search function? That would be a tremendous help. It can get a bit tedious to scroll through such a large and growing module library.

A combined text- and tag-based search would be cool. Selectable tags that are ANDed.

Ah thank you for this! Now I can finally learn how black hole works. That’s the only one that’s eluded me so far!

I'm getting consistent crashes when attempting to add a scala tuning to the NYSTHI scala quantizer. This is one of my most cherished modules, I'll be so stoked to get this working in mirack!

You mean add a custom one from a file?

yes. a custom scala tuning file.

  • @mifki I know it was discussed here before... but can you please add more inputs/outputs for audio modules (I have ES-8 module that has 4 ins + 8 outs and it would be amazing if we'll be able to use all the ins/outs of external audio interfaces) Thank you!

agreed. I'm eyeing that ES-9 and to be able to route things around would be amazing.
