Lol ! Bug carried on Doug’s channel
I think that was fixed in the latest update , or not ?
Looks like importing midi is gone, broken or something. Doesn't work at all for me.
Love your avatar
More details, example ? Need more coffee
@Korakios Yes, I even started the Live Stream but there were some serious buffering issues that put into Max Headroom mode, and while that is fun to watch it soon becomes insanely annoying, so I stopped the stream and deleted the video.
I’m going to give Live Streaming a miss for a couple of days and see if the YouTubes sort it out.
Works for me as well as it ever did (a rather mixed basket) but 1st time you have to navigate to the right folder. (Still on iOS 12 )
It’s a great chance to take a brake
Really not sure about this on iPhone. Everything is way too cramped, stuff hidden by the notch. Hmmm.
LOL at “Max Headroom mode”
You know apple are going to come out with that as a new feature or camera filter haha.
@Michael_R_Grant Does it help that UI is scalable? (See settings)
Personally, I wouldn't expect much on a phone, but I appreciate that it even runs on Android. Sometimes the only UI that I need is a Play button..
This morning I recorded some audio tracks using the same song project that had “lost” audio previously (before the 1.0.2 update). I can confirm that after saving, closing ZB, then opening back up later that the audio did NOT disappear this time.
I have been very happy with ZB, and am encouraged by the frequency of updates. Seems to be taking a bit of a beating in the App Store reviews, so I’ve left a good one.
Yeah, they've been super cool in Support. I've been emailing things back and forth with em and they've been super responsive and helpful. I pretty much send them all my weird crashes and things. They helped me track down a corrupted save problem that seems to be related to my DRC synth vst also. They seem to be on the ball. Hoping for a great ZB future. I really dig it.
I just received another update on PC just 5 min ago. Wish I could find some changelog somewhere.
THanks!
Just tried this app again. Crackles immediately with Auv3 effects (was this ever resolved?). Also stuck notes galore on keyboard
Not yet ,according to changelog:
Re Au crackles: You can hack this by going to ZBs Settings > Plugins > force 44.1khz. I don’t think this is ideal, as it seems to use more cpu, but is a workaround until it’s fixed properly with newer devices that use 48khz. I’ve also been in touch with ZB support about this and they said it would be fixed in a future update and to just change the Settings for now
Re stuck keys: didn’t experience this at all with v102 on my iPad Pro3, iOS12.31, with ZBs 44.1 setting, I only tested it briefly tho
Cheers! 😺
@MatthewAtZenbeats any news about region lock? Or we will never receive ZenBeats in other countries?
Working on the auv3 issues now. For those of you getting stuck notes, can you try this: Go into Zenbeats settings, select the Plugins tab and enable the Force 44.1Khz option. Let me know if that helps.
Yea
The more I use ZenBeats the more I love it, my normal goto is usually Cubasis or NanoStudio 2 followed by Bm3, but the last week have been mainly Zenbeats after unlocking the full version and for those who haven’t yet, watching the Stagelight tutorials on YouTube helps a LOT, at least for me. I was hoping they would add a feature that was already there, which is recording your clips into the timeline like in Ableton, that’s major, then either mixing in ZenBeats or exporting stems. When Stagelight came to IOS I only gave it a quick try and deleted it. Part of me is glad I did since “Stagelight” has been removed from the AppStore, but I see I was missing out on a great app. But I’m loving ZenBeats and again, recording clips to the timeline is major, if there’s another IOS Daw that does this I’m definitely not aware of it.
Fewer stuck notes than before but still occurring. The one difference is with force 44.1 I only hear it. But before this change the keys were also visually sticking (and much more frequent)
has anybody gotten fugue machine working in zenbeats?
AU midi plugins don’t work
Not in ZenBeats, it opens when you add it as an effect but does play for me, but I got it to record as a stand alone into ZenBeats by sending midi out of each track to separate midi channels and using Ableton Link to sync them. It’s a little long winded but it works.
@MatthewAtZenbeats and and/or anyone else
(Might have been asked already)
After building kits with imported samples, can I then delete the samples themselves?
It seems that saved User Kits become a zipped package, I’m wondering if I still need to keep the original imported .wavs
As an aside, I can’t seem to leave Zenbeats alone. Can’t explain why, exactly.
Regarding stuck notes and crackles with AU plugins: We're working on it and testing a potential solution now. Stay tuned!
You can delete the original samples as they should be saved in the kit file.
Regarding:
I'll post updates on region availability as soon as I receive it. Thank you for your patience!
Roland Rubix interfaces include Ableton Live Lite and I deduce that they will soon include Roland Zenbeats instead
Could anyone try to import sfz files ? I tried but get no sound and no sample is loaded .
Maybe I’ll report a bug but there’s a chance it’s user error.
I got the same issue as you with loading a Sfz into SampleVerse, although I could be doing something wrong. This workflow is totally different then anything I am use to. I’ve been a reason user since 1.0, also bm2/3 user, zenbeats reminds me of that time I had to use ableton live in class, after being on reason so long it just doesn’t click. Anouther thing I don’t understand is when importing audio I can audition it when loading it in clip mode, but in the SampleVerse load menu I hear no sound, even with audition turned on.
I've imported sfz's successfully ... at least as far as getting sound. Getting them to sound good has been more challenging.
It's likely due to file paths that aren't available on the device. It seems to happen a lot that folder names will be included from the computer that created the sfz file. One way to check is to open up the sfz file in a text editor. The easiest thing to do is to remove all paths, and have only the file name. Then locate the samples all in the same folder as the sfz file.
