A user recently asked for accordion sounds and tried to listen to
https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts?formats=sfz&tags=accordion
I moved the file also to Stagelight user folder , inside SFZ folder. (without getting sound)
It was suggested by @wim that the samples/ folder path may be the problem.
"The easiest thing to do is to remove all paths, and have only the file name. Then locate the samples all in the same folder as the sfz file."
The screenshot is showing that the sfz is expecting its samples to be in a sub folder called “Samples”. In this case, the unzipped file is structured as it should be. To get it to work:
If you did everything above, it will import and make sound.
@wim Does the backward-slash path separator work on iOS?
Seems to. Or at least not to blow up in this case.
But it could be that Zenbeats is just finding the samples as long as they’re somewhere in the path or below it. I don’t know what its search logic may be.
[edit] I just checked, and the sfz works with e Auria Pro Lyra Sampler as well.
[edit 2] it seems that the backslash is standard sfz 1.0 syntax. So, I assume it’s up to the app to parse that correctly for the operating system.

@wim thanks
It somehow works on Electrocomposer plugin, so the sfz is fine (but mono)
Seems a bug in SampleVerse (which has refined sample control) since it doesn’t load the sfz file
I haven't tried sfz's in sampleverse. I'll give it a try later today.
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know we just pushed Zenbeats 1.0.3 out with lots of plugin hosting fixes and MIDI Plugin support.
Here's the change log:
New: MIDI Plugin Support (iOS, macOS and Windows)
Fixed several 3rd party plugin compatibility issues
Fixed several On-Screen Instrument Bugs
Made some MIDI editing enhancements
Fixed iPhone 11 compatibility
To use MIDI Plugins:
Touch and hold on an instrument slot and you will see a new "Add MIDI Effect" option.
Please let us know if you experience any stuck notes or bad performance with AU instruments and effects.
Enjoy!
Matt
Yes
That’s huge.. thanks..
I cannot unlock the ios device / external plugins...even though I purchased it through the store
Anyone else had the same experience?
@MatthewAtZenbeats hi, just tried latest update on iOS 12.3.1 iPhone XS Max with Bluetooth headphones connected there were 3 bugs:-
Cheers
Thanks for this. Super happy to see midi AU support. A quick test with Rozeta went well. There doesn’t seem to be any way to record the midi, or to route to other channels. Is this correct?
That's correct for now. Would you like to have a way to record the output of MIDI effects directly to the track?
Anyone figure out how to record midi?
Hello Mathew, everything I purchased through the store ( with an account) is not available to use?
Any idea?
Yes
Thanks for the info. We'll look into those issues.
Go to the Zenbeats Store then click on the My Stuff tab. Make sure the iOS Unlock V1 is downloaded
It won't appear in my list under Unlocks, even though I purchased it> @MatthewAtZenbeats said:
+1 yes, it’s nice to be able to capture the midi output to clips for editing.
Also, it would be nice if it could still be possible to use the keyboard when a midi AU plugin is loaded. Good for jamming on top while midi patterns are playing.
Atom Piano Roll isn’t showing up in the AU midi FX list for me, anyone else?
Ok PM me your purchase details and email address you use to sign into.
Thank you> @MatthewAtZenbeats said:
Working now! Thank you M.> @Sergiu said:
External midi or AU midi Fx output?
It would be very nice to have the option to record the MIDI output of the AUv3 MIDI apps directly into a track as it’d be nice to keep modifying their output for each section of a track. When they’re not needed, the AUv3 MIDI apps could then be removed.
Tried an instance of Mozaic sending MIDI CC to an instance of KQ Dixie and it didn’t respond to them. In addition I had to disable Mozaic to get notes from a Rozeta instance on the track to trigger notes.
@Matthew@zenbeats
Noob question do you have to load your midi effect plugin on a separate instrument track and use i/o properties to send midi between the instrument you want to control and the midi effect?
As can seem to get it to work?
Happy to see midi fx, thank God for this forum, been trying to figure out how for like 40 minutes, I would have NEVER guessed holding down the instrument plugin in a 100 years, lol. So now one other things that been driving me nuts, is how exactly do you set the size of the piano keys? Thanks in advance.
You weren’t alone, I just found out from Matt’s post....
