You can record a loop builder "performance" to the timeline, so the easiest way would probably be just to do that, playing the parts you want to get into the timeline. Long-press the record button to get the drop-down for that option.
Can you join clips?
I don't think you can. Unless I'm missing something.
Thanks wim.
That would be a really nice thing to have.
I think I’ve figured a way. Set the loop points to the parts you want to join. Solo that track. Export just the loop points re-import the exported loop.
@MatthewAtZenbeats , can you elaborate on the differences between the iOS unlock and the Ultimate Unlock please? The former has 2,500 presets but the latter has 10,000 but they're both 307MB? Does that mean that as an iOS user you get more presets on iOS if you buy the Ultimate Unlock? I'm particularly interested in whether there's any difference in the ZC1 content between the 2 Unlock options as the sounds in ZC1 are so good I can't really see me using SampleVerse much going forward.
Ultimate is for all platforms, not just iOS.

Yeah I know🙂 What puzzles me is why you get more presets and whether you get these extra presets on iOS if you get the all platform unlock🤔
I want to use ZC1, but I have no interest in Zenbeats. Can Zenbeats interface with other apps (e.g. AUM) via IAA or AB?
No. Sorry.
No worries, I got it sorted.
Glue only works on MIDI patterns currently. Gluing for audio files is in our backlog.
Certainly. The iOS unlock gives access to all Zenbeats features on iOS. Ultimate Unlock gives all access to Zenbeats on iOS, macOS, Windows and Android, plus gives you every in-app loop and preset pack in the Zenbeats Store. As new store packs are released, they are also included with Ultimate V2 purchase up until we release the next major version.
Issue resolved thanks!
Only by copy & paste of events from one clip to another or recording them to to the time-line and them copy & paste of the events to a new clip. That's for the midi, for audio I don't think it's possible at the moment.
So I got Zenbeats back during the pandemic sale period, all the free unlocks and such, but have never used it.
Quick question from someone who’s only started the app like maybe once; does it do audio tracks? Like I can record from my Scarlett 4i4 interface?
And I’m assuming I’ll have to do the $9.99 iOS V2 unlock to get access to the new synth stuff?
Yes.
Yes.
Roland Cloud membership at any level gives you Zenbeats Ultimate Unlock, and you get 30 days free. By that route, you can get 30 days of access to the new synth stuff for free.
Cool, thanks!
I see. Maybe I’ll do that to to see what all this thing can do. Thanks!
You get the synth anyway with what you have, just a much smaller subset of the presets...
That's what i'm trying to clarify, what has really changed?, because we already had ZC1 only with much fewer presets (around 70 i think). so its not really new.
That is why I do not see that the update is so relevant, beyond more presets and access to edit the effects, since it does not include the ability to edit the synthesizer, nor does it include the sound engines of the D50, XV, Juno, Jupiter synthesizers, etc. etc, its not the desktop version, please correct me if i'm wrong.
I.E.: I think the D50 sounds in the presets are just samples not the actual D50 sound engine.
To call it V2 is also confussing because we already had the Zenbeats 2...
It's definitely new.
You're correct there. The v2 unlock is just to get the full ZC1 with the MFX and additional presets. All the other changes are Free in the latest update. $10 for the ZC1 isn't unreasonable, but it is confusing somewhat because it sounds like it unlocks more than it does when in fact all the Zenbeats 2 features other than ZC1 are included for free.
I think you're right on that point. ZC1 doesn't excite me like it seems to everyone else. I have enough rompers as it is. I'll probably still get it to have more sounds at my fingertips though.
Sorry, that part is incorrect. We didn't have Zenbeats 2 before this on iOS.
Thanks for your clarification, now I get it, seems it has been upgraded in the background to version 2 and I have not realized it.
Well $10 for the ZC1 update (750 more presets and mfx edit) probably its not unfair, but the lack of editing parameters and probably the synth engine, judging by the sound of the already included presets, Im not sure its the big synth I expect coming from Roland (Im a loong time Roland user, had synths like the D50 and others and many guitar synth units).
Yeh, I feel ya. I’m looking at it like $10 for a huge pile of sounds within easy reach. Kind of like when a new Gadget drops.
Pondering ways to use Zenbeats with other things. I think I have an idea...
So, I can run ZB on my iPhone and route the audio out into my interface, then on my iPad, just add an audio track in AUM with the audio from my iPhone as the input source. Bam! Zenbeats in AUM...
The way I see it it’s 10€ for support with bonus ZC1 sounds.
Although the upgrade plan was supposed to be “pay for next major version”, this one was free. I don’t know if v3 would be paid or not , but if anyone likes the app will definitely buy the unlock v2 .
As for the free presets , some of them should not be included at all since they sound as a GeneralMidi keyboard .
