I reported the issue to Apple (from the same site one can use to get refunds).
The developer seems active according to his GitHub profile and X account, but I am the first to appreciate that if you write code all day it's not easy to do more of it in your free time. He might not even have Xcode and might be using Linux for all I know (random example). Also if he's Russian he might have had to move abroad, etc. So I appreciate there can be multiple reasons.
But yeah the app website isn't working either. If Apple tries to contact him and he doesn't reply I don't know what the process is. I'm not even sure the money from the app is paid to him now because of the sanctions? Anyway maybe Apple trying to reach out could lead to some progress.
I downloaded the app and it's the best for sketching ideas in my opinion. Really unique to the point I'm surprised no one built something similar.
As mentioned I hope the developer manages to release a minor fix showing it's not completely abandoned, but I'm also not holding my breath. In Europe I have two weeks to decide if I want a refund, but really the app is so well designed I really don't want to refund it - but also not sure it makes sense to buy a broken app 😖
But yeah, super easy to have different time signatures, triplets, multiple melody lines, auv3 instruments support... I wasn't on iOS when the app was launched but I'm really surprised it didn't become extremely popular 😕
How about begging other developers to buy his code, business etc.
@vdk_john right there with ya bud. I bought it less than a year after it came out I think. It was still being updated when I bought it and I too was surprised it wasn’t more popular.
I mean all those features and AUV3 hosting? It’s awesome. But for some reason it just didn’t grab people. Didn’t think about the possibility of the Russian conflict being as issue but you may be right. Hope all is well with him and hope the best for the all because it really is a cool one.
