does anybody know what the midi cc numbers are for expression, bow pressure, vibrato, articulation etc. in geoshred? i’m trying to controls them via cc automation from Lk
Basically a combination of loopback on my audio interface and Audiobus 3’s multiroute feature so I could monitor the mixed signal via headphones. The process is described in the AB forum wiki, albeit under a somewhat misleading title...
https://wiki.audiob.us/doku.php?id=audiobus3_multitrack_usb_audio
Looking at the settings under the hood I think it's:
Expression = Channel Pressure (After Touch)
Bow Pressure = CC 30
Vibrato = CC 29
Articulation = nothing has this label
It's so depressing to read how Blip hasn't responded to these notes. It's just not on.
Thanks for letting me know. I never would have found that wiki page!
I just posted the method in the forum. Someone else put it in the wiki and gave it that title...
Well, it’s not inaccurate...just not how I think about the subject I guess. I appreciate all of the knowledge providers and the knowledge documentarians around here! 😎
Imprecise would be a better word for what I meant. Hitting the target but not the bullseye.
🎯
Update is smooth.. Thanks..
Found out yesterday from Pat at Moforte there is still a problem with preset saving in AUM (does it affect other hosts? If so let them know). When u load a session that had a saved instance, you currently need to reselect it manually, otherwise it won't be saved when u close or save the session. Bit of a pain! They're still working on a total fix.
And now allows itself to run on devices that are now or have ever been a member of the jailbreak community. Huge thanks to @moForte for the swift action on this.
I've captured both of these requests for our master list of futures. Polyphonic "blown" instruments are likely to be very compute intensive. The variations on chordaphones are on our "this-year" horizon with more strings as compute increases.
I'll just put it out there. I'd like to see an isomorphic keyboard layout for the Sensel Morph. I know that the isomorphic layout does not leverage keyboard player muscle memory, but there are gestures that are just not possible with a conventional layout.
You can see them under Menu> Control Surface> tap on the control> MIDI
In the udpate, 5.80.1 we implemented significant improvements to state persistence for presets. However there is one edge case that we are still tracking down. It has to do with loading the plugin and just using the preset that comes up, without selecting a preset. This preset will not get written to the AU parameter tree and thus will not get saved. The solution is to simply select the preset if, you want the one that comes up when the plugin loads.

absolutely...sensel would sell a bunch. It doesn't make sense they don't have an isomorphic layout already. Much better use of space than the thunder overlay. They could have a kit with 3 or 4 different note layouts. They're missing a market blindspot.
@moForte did the notion of demos for the Swam instruments go down at all well? 🙏
@moForte when will the Geoshred/ Swam brass instrument sound packs be released? those are what i am very very interested in.
I don't play any wind instruments (competently) but brass is def. more "me" than saxes for sure.
Thanks, this would be great !
As I was playing with the new SWAM instruments which are bowed or blown, I was wondering if it would make sens that GeoShred include a new « expression » gesture that would be the speed at which the finger moves (either on the poly-expression surface or XY Pad).
This is already present in GarageBand (strings/chord) and FingerFiddle and may be really well suited for these kind of instruments. It would allow a real swelling or natural tremolo for the violin). At least, it could open new ways of expression in GeoShred.
Technically, it would be much easier to do than the long-awaited velocity/pressure simulated feature as only Y or (X,Y) time derivatives have to be calculated.
=> okay, I am dreaming - this has to be added on my wishlist for Christmas 😉

I’ve only just come across this thanks to your comment, but I found this on the Sensel Morph website:
DON’T WAIT TO INNOVATE
With the Innovator’s Overlay and the SenselApp Overlay Designer, you can draw out your own controls, and make a custom controller in minutes.
Play with isomorphic layouts to make melodies easier, make a bunch of MIDI XY pad for stunning interactive effects, or layout the keyboard shortcuts you need in one big button.
You don’t have to settle for what you can buy - you can DIY.
Wouldn’t that make it possible to create an overlay for the configuration you want to achieve?
Yeah and I've seen a couple. And they all look like 100% diy. That's why sensel should make one.
I get that, but does that mean that they would be less likely to work? I really know nothing more than the little I have managed to glean since visiting the official webpage yesterday, and I don’t actually even own Geoshred yet...but I’m really interested. Personally I don’t much like the fact that there is neither haptic feedback nor any sort of tactile differentiation when using any sort of virtual keyboard, fretboard or whatever on the iPad, so the idea of these overlays sounds really interesting to me.
I just purchased SWAM Geoflute (iOS), anyone knows how to reduce air noise? Reducing overblow parameter doesn't seems to reduce airflow noise.. Appreciate any help..
Sorry, I don’t own GeoFlute yet but I don’t think there exists a parameter to control the air noise (maybe in the standalone version). You can always try “formant” if this one is present.
I have GeoFlute. I see an Overblow Enable switch but no Overblow parameter knob - probably hidden in some place I haven't found yet.
I've been practicing with Overblow Enable and Flutter Enable both turned off, Finger Expr turned on. This is because of the particular song. As long as I play the note with my finger on the lower half of the rectangle, I can control the air noise to some degree, although the air noise is linked to note volume - at least how the preset was done. I play the app directly. I don't use a MIDI or MPE controller with this app.
@sujoybose77, do you mean the heavy breath on the attack? Or throughout? If it is the attack, listen to @Mc’Ds preset here... If you like it PM me your email and I’ll send it to you via Dropbox.
I meant the heavy breath on the attack.. I have sent you my email ID... Thanks for your help..
