But what about the other guy? He's not perfect!
They are both criminals! (Ok one person's crime was stealing a pack of gum and the other was serial murder , but what is important is that they are both criminals!)
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if he steals gum he's stupid but if he's a serial killer he's sick... but these are false choices... that's what Chaos agents and detractors want people to do make false choices, for example instead of acknowledging the truth that some people are taught to be racist and some people are taught to be non-racist chaos agents like trump will say hey we are all racist etc... That's why the chief reasoning of his supporters is that the democrats are just as bad as him lol what a defense.... they want people stuck in a left right divide, when it's not even about that... it's about who voted for that nazi sympathizer, that's what is primary , which party they belong to is secondary if not unimportant imo
@knewspeak @MonzoPro There was a cover-up of Saville's evil doings to protect the BBC (many in the Beeb also knew of his antics) and the Establishment. Starmer was head of the CPS when investigations were dropped so carries ultimate responsibility. I repeat, for KS and the CPS the priority was protecting the image of the Establishment, not justice for the victims. In a similar manner, local gov politicians covered up "Asian" rape gangs (e.g. Rochdale) because the awful truth was ......politically inconvenient. So bring it on again guys, rinse and repeat: 3,2,1.call me a fascist for stating the truth. Oh and clearly you don't have a problem with the Trilateral Commission.
take note of how effortlessly he’s dismantling the government’s gaslighting.
And I commend him for it. But within the broader picture, he represents continuity of the status quo. He's Blair 2.0.
That doesn't make him complicit in the cover up.
What do you hope to achieve in spreading this smear campaign? Are you really that despreate to discredit the one person in parliament, able to expose the wrongdoings of the current government, and potentially save thousands, if not tens of thousands from an unecessary death?
So you're happy to stick with Johnson 1? He's the best chance of holding this government to account that we have. Don't fuck it up.
Interested in your motives behind spreading this shite.>
Unlike you, I'll keep it civil and not resort to abuse. The short answer is: your big hope to save us from the Establishment.....is a member of the Establishment.
Where is the abuse in that statement? It is shite. It's been exposed and discredited as a right-wing smear, and by definition it is shite, and you're spreading it.
Who do you think is going to 'save us from the establishment'? Do you have a local anarchist vegan basket weaver in mind, who can suddenly become the leader of an opposition party and hold Johnson to account?
No, you don't. So while that might be a worthy ideal, we'll make the best of what we've got, which is a shit hot barrister, currently leader of the opposition, who will fight to stop the Tories doing more damage.
You and @knewspeak have called me a vile fascist for disagreeing with you. Are you a member of the Labour Party?
Where did I call you a 'vile fascist'? And what has being a member of the Labour Party got to do with the price of fish?
I did a '+1' to Knewspeak's comment that what you were spreading is vile, which it is.
He called me a vile fascist and you agreed with him.
So who carries responsibility for the CPS cover-up of child abuse by Saville and others if not its head at the time?
And what has being a member of the Labour Party got to do with the price of fish?
Partisan loyalties cloud judgement.
I realise facts are not your strong point, but lying on a forum where the evidence is plain to see is bordering on ridiculous, he said:
“to correlate as @ElectroHead has done is also vile.”
No mention of saying you yourself are vile, or any mention you are a fascist.
And as I said before, being head of the CPS does not make Starmer complicit in a cover up.
it’s you who is the vile person proliferating utter rubbish, just like the rest of the right wing neo fascist mob.
I must have just imagined the CPS cover-up of child abuse
Is having an alternative option to the current populist regime something your lot want to stamp out?
Not that it’s any of your business, but I’m not a member of any political party.
Starmer told the BBC after Saville died: “I think this is a very real issue that has been with us for a very long time. You can go back to the 50s and probably earlier to find examples, but you can find many more recent examples, and it’s a very simple proposition: if you’re in a position of authority, and you have cause to believe that a child has been abused, you really ought to do something about it.”
4 times the police referred investigations to the CPS under Starmer. The latter rejected the investigations on the grounds of lack of evidence.
>
Right, so after offering proof against your false claim of making an abusive comment against you, you make an abusive comment against me.
And after sharing a right-wing smear campaign, you call me a right-wing neo fascist, proliferating rubbish.
You’re off your nut mate. I’m not wasting any more time on this ridiculous fantasy of yours. A bunch of bare faced lies for anyone who cares to look can see.
So now the CPS cover-up was a "fantasy". I'm done too mate.
I haven’t responded to that right wing bullshit, it’s not worth the effort. I’ve addressed the other lies and abusive comments you’ve been posting.
Not a good look.
Back on topic:
Defending the leader of the opposition who is being smeared, is on topic, and needs to be addressed. Hopefully he'll be allowed to carry on his work holding the government to account on their mishandlng of the crisis.

@kobamoto : in addition to people’s addiction to false equivalency and what-aboutism is the media’s treatment of bipartisanship as inherently good and partisanship as inherently bad — without regard to the actual positions being taken. It assumes that there is good faith on both sides and some sort of shared reconcilable world view with the divide being how to achieve that shared vision. But the reality is that sometimes there are parties that either stop being good-faith actors or world views become irreconcilable, sometimes odiously so.
In the U.S., this is a major problem. Even the so-called liberal media (which has shown itself over and over to be center-right) treats bipartisanship as a goal without regard to how that would translate to policy...meaning there is an implicit pressure to negotiate with the reactionary forces that currently dominate the govt.
This quote from Jamelle Bouie really captures the unspoken value system of those (who are quite often able to keep themselves sheltered) calling to end lockdowns for the sake of the economy before workplaces are safe to go back to: “makes plain the historical reality that expropriation of life and labor was part of the growth of capitalism from its beginnings to the present.”
The wealthy (and those who share their vision of wealth acquisition) treat other people’s lives as being valueless. OTHERS, they reason, should put their lives at risk in order for profitability to be maintained. In times of difficulty, they are not willing to pay back to the society that enabled the accumulation of wealth.
Well said. Reminds me of this quote from Frank Zappa:
“ The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.“
We are looking at that brick wall now.
Today’s vent:

I mean, part of me just wants to watch and let them face the consequences. But reality is that they will endanger many more people who are more vulnerable. That is frustrating.
exactly what I was trying to say albeit much more articulate haha
but yeah and as soon as they change from conservatives vs liberals to conservatives vs foreigners all of a sudden the hammer of clarity comes down and there is no more confusion to the difference between right and wrong.... just listen to the president talk about foreign terrorist vs talking about domestic terrorist... it's embarrassing
I died.![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Re the abusive comment you claim I made: I simply quoted the comment made by @knewspeak against me, which you cheered. You lost the thread. At no point did I abuse you.
Will you EVER give up?
LOOK at the quote I +1’d. THERE IS NO MENTION OF ANYONE BEING CALLED A FASCIST! And the ‘vile’ comment he made was referring to your spreading of right-wing slander. As well as being nasty, it could put this forum in an awkward position legally, and should be challenged.
I can see why people like you fall for right-wing lies, you seem to have no grasp whatsoever of factual content.
Now GROW UP and stop trolling me.
Oh dear, why do persist in continuing this attack, yes it was a vile attack to insinuate that Starmer was a Savile forgiver, also you keep reiterating the fact that he is part of the establishment, this is pretty similar to the attack’s fascist’s have used to attack and usurp democracy throughout history.
Not to mention your attack on @MonzoPro
Think about what you are saying please.
